  2. If we’re within 10 goals at half time it’s almost a win
  3. that's what lobb said
  4. did you miss the memo that we're not very good? received it weekly this year
  5. windsor, tholstrup, langford, lindsay it will be their first afl match together tomorrow my question is - do we expect them all to be future midfielders, or will one, two, or more of them end up being different types? fwiw, i see langford as the only 'pure' midfielder of the bunch windsor and lindsay can play outside as well and tholstrup is more of a question mark in terms of his main role
  6. conversely, if they get up, the pressure will only ramp up on voss hard to see two coaches under more pressure in 2025 than him and goodwin
  7. bigly, you could say
  8. he's gotta be one of the best vfl recruits of all time an absolute star ugh
  9. eh, chalk me up as another 'puddy tatts are the form team of the competition if they beat dingley' believer it's DISGUSTING
  10. maggots love the filth
  11. As opposed to outsiders like Pert, McNamee, etc.? Regarding Vlad, does calling us ‘irrelevant’ and then coming back to save us count as an inside job? I couldn’t think of any job Vlad would less want to do Imagine being the poor flunk who has to tell him it’s time to sign off on his AI-penned open letter to members
  12. this is why he's 'okay' as a media commentator and a mildly successful coach he took over a team that was premiers and runner-up in the two preceding years, took them backwards year on year before a bounce in year 7, then dipped down again
  13. didn't hurt us at all in the first half of the season when we completed the 'business trip' to adelaide and then beat a then-undefeated cats in a thriller at the g what happened after that? boy oh boy wowee did the wheels fall off clayton's second efforts thus far this season have been better than trac's for mine
  14. yes, amazingly, the top tier players get treated very differently that's the case at every footy club if someone like jvr was behaving like jamara, i would expect he would be treated very differently to how oliver was treated too
  15. why do we assume that goodwin wasn't reaching out to the petracca and has, prior to the last month or so, been rebuffed? he's not petracca's family - he's his coach the stories around the petracca family's approach to their son's career are plentiful and they sound like they require a lot of special care and attention
  16. i can't believe people are comparing jamara to clayton one is a promising man-child and the other is a 2x aflca champion, multiple b&f winner, and a premiership player
  17. she's another player scathing about pert tho; plenty of those both at the dees and at the filth ultimately, birch took the path that petracca wanted - it was all going south and she walked away; when the going got tough, as an experienced player she walked out and went to the best team in the competition
  18. i'm not convinced horse longmire will coach at afl-level again, and if he does i suspect it'll be tasmania not melbourne of the devils / demons variety it surprises me when people say beveridge is tactically rigid - with family of family being mad footscray fans, their biggest complaint is that he throws the team around TOO much, experimenting with players in different roles etc. to the detriment of team balance and surety of player roles some of the moves work - i.e. richards from half-back into the midfield (equivalent of rivers for us) - and others obviously don't (daniel from half-back to half-forward, playing macrae anywhere other than in the midfield) what's interesting to me is that those two 'failed' moves were tried for 2 seasons and then both players - who were on significant contracts - were traded for perceived 'unders' in order to get their hefty contracts off the books he and goodwin are pretty similar in my books - very much relationship-based coaching styles
  19. would be a good result for us
  20. Willie Rioli goes WHACK on Dingley
  21. grown up supporting the club, immediate opportunity to be part of long-term future, significantly behind the pecking order at gc17 isn't that always the case tho? being part of the ais squad is a great start
