What a farce -
Mason Wood? No thanks
-
in terms of 'saving' money in the soft cap it would make sense
-
solomon is a fait accompli to be back at the peptides next year you'd think be interesting to see how deep the cuts go into footy ops you'd think that if mahoney goes, that'll free up a lot of ' soft cap' room in the footy dept given that our expectation is that the total numbers in the footy departments are going to be reduced in 2021 and beyond, sadly lots more good football people will lose their jobs than there will be roles to go around
-
i'd rather just pick up zac williams as a free agent
-
He’s got better as the season has gone on but is clearly behind the likes of Andrews, Weitering, Moore, Ryan, Collins, Haynes, Jonas, possibly Grimes and McGovern for KPP and / or third tall roles

after half time was an utter disaster in terms of workrate, and it wasn't our own play that stopped them, it was shortened quarters and the siren footscray are pretty good and they really put us to the sword in the premiership quarter the way we didn't respond at all was really disappointing from a coaching perspective - if me sitting grumpily in front of the live stream can see the lack of effort put in to work hard defensively then i don't see how the coaching dept can't respond, and they really didn't change anything at all in the third before we knew it the game was gone once melksham did his usual dumb give-away-a-goal thing - he's one of the biggest culprits for poor discipline and lack of workrate we looked capable of getting back into it in the last but we completely fell away mentally after giving up ANOTHER goal on turnover; the amount of turnovers and reaction to perceived pressure just continues to show that the group don't react well to be under the kosh at all -
go get mosquito still reckon the changes will be fairly minimal - gawn and rivers to come in for preuss and sparrow i would personally be adding t mac, hannan and / or spargo to the list of outs but get the feeling they'll stick with the devil we know
-
if it's 40 + 2 then i can see smith surviving on the list next year, and i suspect the fact that josh wagner has been pushed out of playing a defensive role - his natural position - in these scratch matches in favour of smith indicates that the footy dept see him as a defender and worth persisting with in that role i don't see him being in the best 22 of an afl side that is going to be featuring in finals football if we are reliant upon the likes of smith, baker, hunt, anb, the wagners being in our afl-level side then we're in a bit of trouble a lot of them are fine athletes and probably very good at lower levels, but there's nothing about their games that makes me think they're worth persevering with if list reductions are completely ott in 2021

no mention of jordan in the report? rivers would seem to be a monty to come in next round

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Western Bulldogs
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
he looks good (don't want him) -
they might not have enjoyed their first hub life, but meth coke should be odds on to be top two with the way they're playing they're absolutely doing a number on gw$ in their last match over in the west
-
sigh he's been outstanding for the aints this year most amazing thing is the tiggas didn't even use the pick they got for him; it was a straight-up gift wrapped in a bow to moorabbin
-
goodwin said if he needs surgery he'll be done for the year
-
sparrow ain't covering nothing - gone for the year if his collarbone needs surgery
-
this takes our arguable best defender away from the backline so...no if whacko jacko was fit i think it's fair to say t mac wouldn't be playing the last two games you can see his own frustration that it's just not working for him; his effort is still there but his limitations currently outweigh his ability anyone suggesting we 'delist' the macs need their heads read...or at least need to check their contract status to see that that ain't gonna happen
-
yep, after that disappointment it would be handy if all of the tiggas, bears, meth coke and kangas could do the business
-
there's no way jones would come up you'd think if he's got issues with his quad sparrow and preuss are clearly going to be out and then i guess it becomes about what forward make-up we want melksham, avb, pickett, and hannan all should be under the gun, as should t mac, harmes and lockhart, but i don't think there's much depth to replace them with - don't see any of the wagners, hunt, o mac near best 22 personally who knows what they'll do, but personally i'd go with... OUT: hannan, preuss, t mac (all omit), sparrow (inj) IN: gawn, bennell (but i wouldn't be surprised if it was more of a mid selected, so possibly jordan to debut?), rivers, brown harmes to replace jones in the hff moving up into the midfield, rivers as the 7th defender, bennell to try and encourage pickett, spargo, melksham to apply some defensive pressure...would be handy if he could too...and brown to offer better ground ball involvement than tommy mac gawn will be going up against ryder and marshall, who are working together in tandem very well, so they could also opt to try preuss instead of brown as a forward but i somehow doubt it

go get jesse
