Have you enjoyed season 2022?
This is my situation as well. For the months after I was real satisfied and everything this year was gravy, fast forward a few weeks into this year and the burn to see us win one on the G in the flesh is real. Of course the need was satisfied but it does still feel like your chasing something to an extent and the stress is still there!

Have you enjoyed season 2022?
The 3 losses in a row in the exact same fashion each time were pretty damaging and have stuck in the craw. I don't think I've truly enjoyed a game since as everything has been must win and with a whole lot of angst. Including this last game it was a real yuck feeling leading at every change except the last one 4 times. They even had a hint of the old "Can you trust Melbourne?" about them. Beats falling off the cliff as reigning premiers though.

Have you enjoyed season 2022?
For the most part absolutely. We had a gameplan you could trust once a lead was established. Yeah some slip ups here and there but it is great to have a competitive team again. While it has been great though the way this season ends has a big part to play and I'm not talking about winning a flag or not. I'm talking about where we finish in Rd 23. I enjoyed the 2004 season very much but it was a season squandered in the end. You could say the same for the two years after. You would hate to have the wheels fall off now and no-one remembers teams that started seasons real well (Unless they win the flag of course)

Training Ground?
Yeah I forgot to add that I hope we're all still here when it does.

The Run Home
I'm holding onto the hope that this could all rapidly change this time next week.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Nervy, nervy times.

Matthew Stokes on Melbourne
Opinions ranging from credible sources to backyard blow-hards matter somewhat. For instance I'm not listening to an ex player on a pod who maybe watches Melb play 3 or 4 times a season compared to someone paid to watch every week. But rpfc said he works for The Age so that answers my question.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Well he can always change his mind and sign earlier. That's what I'm hoping anyway.

Matthew Stokes on Melbourne
Is Stokes even in the media or is this some kind of backyard podcast job?

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Well that does not sound good, will need to hear it myself but that is a massive kicker if it sounded the way most are describing it. It does feel like something is a bit off at the moment.

PODCAST: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Andy and Binman are the perfect Yin and Yang for me. Binman I could listen to forever and very few people I've heard have been able to explain complicated things so quickly. Except the loading theory though we'll need the Binman thesis for that. Andy often reminds me of my instant reactions straight after the game and being the realist. I've often felt the way Andy does so I relate to him too.

They've all called us out now, better to be called out a month before the end of the season than in the first week of finals when Geelong usually get called out. The boys and coaching staff will know what they need to do.

Training Ground?
As Gary Pert said a few years ago: "The MFC won't know itself once we have a permanent home base". It will be amazing when it happens.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Come on Gus, give us some gooood news!

Farewell Sam Weideman
Exactly, create a bit of chaos in there again. That's when we generate the most scoring chances.

Our biggest issue is...
Our goals from centre clearance were great but relying on that to score is worrying.

The Run Home
It makes delicious paper reading for sure. The late bolter no-one expected, the reigning champ with the wheels falling off, pure Wheaties material.
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
Gotta get the best deal I think, no guarantee he becomes a huge success.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Weight of the world on his shoulders now

Forward Half Concerns
We need better players I guess, whi ever thought you had to regenerate a premiership list?

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.
This is what I don't understand when people call for the gameplan to be overhauled. It's like the gameplan was working well right up until the last minute.

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
I remember being shocked that he got straight back into it.
