Stuff drafting a kid, poach a key forward.
Would blow our window open another few years. Reminds me a lot of the Lynch situation. Would love to see it happen.

The Neal-Bullen non goal
MFC: I'm here to complain about the ARC incident. AFL: Hmmm, ahhh, talk to that officer over there..

Jimmy Munro retires from VFL
What a player. You need these guys at VFL level.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
I'd prefer no Hickey just quietly.

Yze gets the Tigers Coaching Job
At least his Twitter handle is still @ooze21. Is this unchangeable Tweeters?

Better kiss that one goodbye.

Do the Demons need to do a new football department review?
If Jaded is positive on a thread like this you just need to chalk it up as a W. That goes for me too by the way.

Well done Ooze! Plenty of false dawns and garden paths in the journey but you deserve this chance.

Todd Goldstein
It couldn't miss twice could it?

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Gotchya. Guess we'll see if he can still cut it as a no.1.

NFL
Horrific injury to Browns RB Nick Chubb on Tuesday. It was apparently so gruesome that ESPN would show a replay. Knees just aren't meant to bend that way âđïļ Steelers fans chanted Chubb's name as he was carted off the field. Take notes Collingwood, very possible for a big fanbase to act with grace.

I agree when it comes to psychology. Winning a flag can do a lot for it and your belief goes into another stratosphere. I look at the Geelong side of the 00s, RIchmond in the 10s as teams that were perenial losers to becoming consistent units after they broke through, for the last two seasons I believe we also had that effect. There can be the adverse affect as well though, two failed seasons and no win on the G in finals since 2018. Things like this have the potential to flatten the mindset and spiral, why would you continue to keep working as hard if it could all just fall apart at the end? It's a slippery slope and needs to be handled with care to get the mind in best shape as possible. AFL footballers do plenty of conditioning physically, they also need to do it mentally.

No team announcement tonight is going to hit me a bit.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
No more Hickey I'm afraid. Definitely what Sydney needs.

Hot Future Forwards
The best thing about Collingwood is they play a style to suit the players at their disposal.

i'm sure there will be some kind of internal review. Just make sure the last two games are reviewed.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
CIrcumstances for the season and this particular game are two different things though. I agree it didn't work as a whole but for this game we needed something. Max was playing 87% of the game in the ruck and on a busted toe, T-mac gave us zilch in terms of what we needed from a key forward/releiving ruckman. This was a game where Grundy could have given us a little more than what we had on the night and it wouldn't have needed to be much either. A couple of decent marks, stints in the ruck and the ability to move faster than 2kph could have been enough. Hell even if he'd done nothing but just ruck for the forward line and be a big body it would have been better than what we got. It's done now, Schache wasted as a sub not even getting on. live and learn (hopefully).

Excellent comparison. And yes with the 'route one' direct approach you need that target man doing the donkey work, getting knock downs and holding the ball up with back to goal. It's really quite similar and this is why it doesn't surprise me when I hear about some coaches like Clarko looking to the other sports for research.

Is our time at the top done?
Then a 'premiership wrought iron gate' which is obviously much harder to open.
