Underworld identity photographed with Demons
Freddy Fuschia replied to DeeGee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Blacktown is the site of Greater Western Sydney's boutique home ground so Sheedy, Scully and co are now deeply implicated in the Sydney vice scene. The AFL needs to investigate this immediately and take away their first round picks in this week's national draft. -
Caroline Wilson's descent into gutter journalism

The Jurrah book was premature. It's a bit embarrassing. -
Great stuff WJ. The Age is unlikely to publish anything taking one of its employees to task. Morale is low at the newspaper after massive sackings and rearrangements within and without. There are even rumours that Wilson herself is on the outer. The day that happens will be the next time I buy the paper.

2005 Collingwood v North Melbourne @ The Docklands Collingwood leading North by three goals well into the final quarter. Shannon Grant is on fire and becomes the catalyst for the Kangaroos' fight back and a famous victory while Malthouse keeps a tortoise paced Shane Woewoedin on Grant for the whole of this period. Collingwood end up losing eight in a row and score a priority pick. The AFL's interest: NIL This is just one of the many games to be highlighted in a new book, "The history of tanking in the AFL: 1999-2012"

And did it not occur to you that I was responding to you.

Get Barry Gibb to write a soppy song about it. Why do you presume we're a broken club? We're not!!! We have strength in the number of our supporters and we use that strength to bring down the bastards (and the whores) who are trying to bring us down. We stand up and fight back.

Caroline Wilson's descent into gutter journalism
Freddy Fuschia replied to titan_uranus's topic in Melbourne Demons
That's fair enough in my book. They're in the business of running a football club, not selling newspapers. There will come a time when they have their opportunity to state their case. I think it would be helpful for Demonlanders to avail themselves of the opportunity of attending a real live court case to see how these things really work. I did recently and after hearing the prosecution case I thought the accused was guilty without any doubt but then I heard the defendant's witnesses and thought the pendulum had swung 360 degrees. It's worse with the crap you read in the media which is often taken out of context if not outright lies. Some of the stuff put forward as evidence is nothing more than fanciful speculation and wouldn't be admissible as evidence in a proper court of law. -

Anyone who's seen her in action on Footy Classified would know that Caro's a bit slow on the uptake when it comes down to tongue in cheek humour. -
AFL Player charged with stalking

Fair to say we can't blame any MFC board members or officials for this one or should we check with Denham on the radio tomorrow morning first? -
I have a feeling that F Ray is now off the radar.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CAMERON PEDERSEN
Freddy Fuschia replied to Hannibal's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's interesting that Richmond managed to offload Angus Graham who played only one game this year to the Crows for an exchange of draft picks giving up 40 for 50. Ruckmen are a slightly more sought after commodity but I doubt the criteria for a trade is going to be much difference. Pick 49 straight out should do it. -
2012 Player Review - # 36 Aaron Davey
Freddy Fuschia replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Told he's looking fit and raring to go. Hope that he really comes back with a vengeance in 2013. -
Quick to point out that they have 3 first round picks when those picks, now 18, 19 & 21, would have been second rounders in the good old days of 16 clubs. His thought patterns are unadulterated rubbish.

The word I have is that GC Suns don't rate Jack very highly. Won't be nominating him. -

We have them coming here claiming to be brothers and cousins of players. Is this rumour about the brother, Butcher or both? -

Great work Nudge but who goes for the 19 new players we're going to pick up out of this scenario. -
Goldsack didn't do a great deal last night but he is highly regarded by Collingwood fans. Perhaps it's because of this:

I usually defer to the good judgement of the football department because, after all, they know a lot more that me and it's their necks that are on the line if they get things wrong. But given the fact that Jordan Gysberts has had such an injury riddled season, I wonder at the suggestion that he is up for trade by the club. Looking back at some of press of his performances in the past, I came up with these two items:- Jordan Gysberts key to Melbourne's engine room Melbourne Demons toughen up to upset Essendon I remember that game against Essendon from last year. We had a young midfield and Gysberts was the star of the on ballers (with his current body). We have very few players who can pick up 30 possessions in a game and I'm stumped as to we wouldn't give him a shot at another pre season to develop him as a player unless we have a very good trade in mind to replace him.
