The recent test series in SA v India was highlighted by low scoring innings. Our lead should be enough.

Curnow is not a midfielder now and would need a lot of work and maintenance put into him before he could ever be a regular in the midfield. If you think we can pick him up and make him a midfielder, you're kidding yourself. It might happen but the percentage chance is low. He's more of a third forward now and might never be more than that.

This kid has come from the clouds in the second half of the season. Won the Morrish Medal, starred late in the season including finals and now tipped as a first rounder. Oliver keen for more after Morrish Medal success

Agree. Both look very composed and show great maturity. The fact that Roos is the coach makes it more likely that they will succeed rather than fail as our recent early picks have done but the coach might still have other ideas. If we can do another Tyson trade, I would be happy .

None of us are privy to what goes on in the minds of the selectors so we usually look at players from what we've observed about them in the past or on the basis of what we hear and read about them in the media or from their statistics. OK, so the selectors appear to have got it right about Hilfenhaus this time but they've also been wrong with other selections. Unless you're perfect yourself that's no reason to mock other posters.- The No T$ No B$ Thread

Lance also played for Richmond. Brendan's potential was highly touted when he first came to Melbourne but he struggled to get a senior game. He became a star player with Port Melbourne in the mid 70s. Off the field, he formed a partnership with Malcolm Speed in a legal practice. Speed was involved in basketball and later became famous in cricket administration. - Anyone for cricket?
