The hype continues to grow, when onfield catches off with our off field acheivements we will become the club that we should be.
-
What young taletn three father and sons and a key forward that can't kick. North aren't solid they are a house of cards and the wind in Ballarat will blow them over.
-
I can't understand why people think the Bulldogs are ahead of us, the bulldogs will miss the 8 in 2011, we will high five them on the way up the ladder as they progress towards an extended period in the bottom 4. Same as North, we will finish higher then North. I also believe the Saints will slide they will drop to 6-8th.
-
Officially at the AGM, but I reckon we might come out today or next week with a record profit announcement and 20,000 members signed before Christmas. This will be to keep building the hype around our club.
-
We should keep a record of posters that don't believe we can assess 2011 on win loss. If we start the season 0 and 6 but we are "competitive" against bottom 8 sides are we happy because we are close to winning and we are still improving or will we be shouting for Bailey to get sacked I guarantee you the later will be the case. If we finish the year with 6-8 wins will we all be happy for Bailey to get another contract extension or will we be calling for his sacking, once again I think the latter will be the case. Next year will be a test to see if Bailey can coach a team to win rather then just being competitive.

Right time to do a hammy, get it right by mid Jan and no issue, just don't be a Jack Grimes 10 week Hammy
-
So do I on level 2. The bar that is located directly behind me should be pumping with Melbourne supporters next year. I still think we need to move the premium members from the Hassett room to the Jim Stynes room

We need to win more then we lose, I'm tired of losing. We have the list, we have the ability, we have the potential we need to see this result in more wins. I would be happy with a 12 and 10 season but considering our draw I want a 14 and 8 season including a 6 and 0 start.

439 to get for our 20,000 prior to Christmas. I assume the office will close for Christmas either on Friday or early next week. The best thing I read the other day is our reserved seat sales are well up.
-
I can buy that line over the past couple of years, but we are in a competition that success is measured by win/loss and at some stage whether it is 2011 or 2012 we need to assess our teams performance based on win loss. In fact in 2011 we should start to expect our team to win more then we lose.

So Who's Number For Your Kid's Jumper...

My little girl loves Liam Jurrah, My Boy will have 31 on his back as soon as he signs a new contract. -
It's amazing that people have an opinion that Watts is lazy and highlight it on training reports. I'm sure if he was lazy the coaches and team mates would be right up him. Pre-season is about getting players ready for the next season. The most important part is keeping them on the track and managing work loads. Each player will have targets to acheive per session and don't expect all players to be working at 100%. What I have seen from the training sessons this year is the club is focussed on managing work loads to ensure we have a healthy list in Feb. Be happy most of our list is training with the main group we will need this once the real competitive stuff starts after christmas.

This is easy, our first picks from the 2007/08 drafts, Cale Morton and Jack Watts. Cale will replace Bruce as the guy some love and the guy some love to hate.
-
This was a commercial decision by Bruce to leave the club. He knew that it was more than likely 2011 would be his last year at the MFC, if you can get two years somewhere else even if it is for slightly less money per year you still will be well in front financially over the two year contract. Cam was an OK player and we wish him well. The club is did what is best for club and Cam did what was best for Cam, win win. I now feel sorry for Cale Morton, I think he will replace Cam Bruce as the new Whipping boy on this site.

Welcome to Demonland ... MICHAEL EVANS

From memory there was a rule regarding interstate rookies, I remember we had to keep them for 2 years, does anyone know if this is still the case. -
we need to start being careful what we post, check out Herald Sun website small article about our away jumper. No question they got it from here.

I stopped pass training on Monday, and a few of these guys where training. The one that impressed me the most was a miny Matt Bate, short red head bloke, worked his arse off alwasy at the front of the group and looked like a hard nut. Does any one know who that would be?
-
The best thing about this announcement no matter how big it is, is that information is being released by the club and not being leaked out prior to the press conference.
-
I've just got an e-mail, it is big, it will annouce the new personalized MFC coffee mug available for 14.95 plus postage
-
It will be announcing our new partnership with New Balance(we haven't had a media release for this), with the new players wearing their new numbers on our 2011 jumpers, both home /Away and announcing our cool 1.5mil profit for the year, but wait there is more we have a new short sponser the NT government worth 1.5mil over 3 years. But wait there is still more Jimmy's Cancer is in remision. One more thing we have a new social club at the MCG, The Jim Stynes room in the Olympic Stand. Now that would be a press conference.
-
It will be harder this year to grow our memberships with out good early performance. We have hype that has been created last year and will go into 2011, a good profit announcement over the next few days a couple of new sponsers announcements will continue to build the hype leading into the season but early wins can push our membership to 38-40,000. It would be nice to win some preseason games, from memory I think we have won 1 in three years.

I'm more worried about Aussie That forward pocket will be needed to rest midfielders and have players that can pinch hit in the midfield. You will see Davey, Trengove, Sylvia and co resting in the forward pocket, I see players like Maric, Tapscott, Jetta, Bennell that will be able to spend time in the midfield geting ahead of Aussie unless he can get fitter.
-
Do you think we have planned to draft players that will assist each other to settle in at the MFC. The last three drafts Bennell and Jetta, Trengove and Tapscott, Cook and McDonald
-
The footage is great everytime he got near the footy all you hear is HOWEEEEEEEEEE

Our forward line has always been on track we just expected it to be there already. We have a number of players that can kick multiple goals in a game and any given day they can kick bags. Jurrah, Green, Dunn, Petterd showed in 2010 they are goal kickers, add in Watts, and our small forwards we have the goal kicking ability. Our forwards main issue is our delivery to them, the West coast game stands out we just kept kicking the ball to a West Coast defender. As our midfield gets better our forward line will look better. Saying that our tall forward depth wasn't there we have added players that add this and creates competition which will only make us better
