Here is a question for the legal eagles on this site. With betting agencies taking bets on this if Tom dropped to a few of his mates I'm stayig load up would this be against the AFL gambling policy? Tom tell your mum that you are staying she can get $2.60.

If we compare both clubs over the past 4 years we have had very similar paths. Off Field Financially we were both basket cases, it looks like the MFC has is in a better position with the ontroduction of the MCG stadium deal, our Darwin match, and more importantly our Debt demoloition. North have been able to turn a profit for the past few years but still have this huge debt. Members we have had a steady growth a peak when Jim took over but we have continued to rise, North had the Peak and feel away. Attendances once again we are getting a steady griwth as our performances get better, North once again are going the other way. Both clubs have addressed the sub-standard training facilities both AAMI park and Arden St have brought the clubs up to AFL standard Unfortunately, both North and Melbourne don't have a big suburb region to develope members. North put up the Stay put at Arden Street whilst MFC looks to one of the fastest growth corridors in Australia Casey. North have since looked at Ballarat but have hurt this with the Tasmanian talk and only half committing to the roosters, North if you want this to be your region cut ties with Werribee. Richmond may of trumped North with Craigeburn, if North was smart they would either fully commit to Ballarat or focus on other growth areas such as Melton or take the wind out of the Bulldogs and set up in the West, Point Cook, Werribee or even Melton. This is future planning you wouldn't expect a huge impact from the Casey region in the short term but as we become more successful it will draw young kids from that region to our club, kids love winners. On Field We both had aging lists that needed to be addressed. MFC went with a complete bottoming out whilst North have sat in the bottom 8, both list have enough potential to compete for a top 8 spot from 2011 on. Both supporters will argue that there lists are better, to me they are fairly even but I would rather have ours.

And through our inititives of our Administration we have $0 debt. I heard to make the mininum payments on a 5mil loan is about $600,000 pa and that only covers interest you don't even eat into the principle amount. Every year you basically are writing off $600,000.

If Sylvia, Davey and Green are the top three we have made the finals.
-
That is great Tom is now satisfied that we love him more than Jack Watts, please no one re-open the Jack Watts thread Tom wants this demonland record.
-
Hopefully the two clubs can capitalize on this, the crowd attendances at North and Melb games are lucky to hit 30,000 and if at the dome lucky to hit over 20,000. It would be great to have the Melbourne Derby, play for the Mayors Cup match day sponsered by the city of Melbourne.
-
Wasn't just Terry I think about 7 or 8 callers followed. Everytime I listen to SEN or 3AW and they talk about Melbourne I hear some pathetic North supporter ring up and cry about there list is better than ours and why is every one pumping up Melbourne and we beat them twice last year.
-
He will sign any day now, once this post exceeds the Jack Watts post from last year Scully will sign. I can't be bothered finding the post but I think it was around 1100 posts.

Over the last two years I have noticed one club that has a big green monster that sit in a very large chip on their shoulder. They hate that our young list is getting all the attention and they believe that their list is younger and better than ours. There supporters are constantly calling talk back radio complaining about the focus on our club and the facts are no one really cares about them. Yes, I'm talking about North Melbourne, even last Saturday we played the night before the callers were North supporters letting their big green monster out on the radio. I agree with them that their list looks good and will be competing with us over the upcoming years, but don't constantly attack the MFC over they hype we have created. Our administration has created this and the media has jumped on board, you bitter and twisted North supporters need to focus on what you can control, if your administration can not create the hype around your club you have the wrong people leading your club. Funny they have an AGM tomorrow night, the President can be heard on the radio most days yet no one cares if they are any good. Yes we have the hype and even if North finishes higher then us on the ladder people will be drawn to the MFC.

Wasn't 2007 in Tassie or was that 2008 against Hawthorn? Essendon will win on Friday night St Kilda won't be interested and Brisbane are garbage.
-
Neither has Blease and everyone has him labeled as a gun. Strauss will be Ok same with Blease give them time which the club will give them
-
I forgot about McKenzie and I think Spencer is from the same rookie draft. The only players we haven't seen much of are Blease and Strauss.
-
Hints either way, the first thing his former manager will say to the 3AW journo's is I can't give you any information pertaining to my old clients especially Tom Scully. Then with the knowledge he has does he allow his station to pursue a rumour that is untrue whether it be we has signed or hasn't signed. Lets say MMM continue to stick with he has signed push, if this is wrong and we hope it is, does 3AW push the he hasn't signed, using the knowlegde they have.
-
We will soon find out, if Tom has signed he will be [censored] himself that his now former manager will drop a few hints to his now 3AW colleagues. You would assume there is a confidentiality clause in place but over the next 8 weeks I'm sure a few hints will be let out either way.
-
I think the players that we took in the 2008 draft will play a big role in our Premiership run. Watts, Blease, Strauss, Bennell, Jetta, Bail add in Jurrah what a draft.
-
If the amount of money is True, Tom has to wonder why are they throwing all this money at me, the answer is simple every other big named player they have targeted has said no.
-
There are two players that can be considered fringe players but they both are really impressive, Bail and Jetta both are turning into good footballers both great tacklers and have something about them that just impress me.
-
I cant believe anyone couldn't be impressed by Maric, he was very good tonight used the footy very well. Nothing wrong with Strauss's game, it always amazes me that people judge young players and form opinions that make them look for any negative they can find instead of focusing on the good signs they show. We still need to work on clearances but our ability to hit someone in the corridor was great
-
No mistake about it, Col Sylvia is a pure match winner, can kick goals, take a good mark and would be one of the best kicks in our team and showed over the last two years he can get the footy. Sylvia's body held him back this is right his head is right and we are playing him in the right spot a midfielder, Col is at his best in the midfield. Tom will be a good footballer, but I would take Col over Tom any day of the week. I hope we keep both.
-
I thought Sylvia signed a deal up to end of 2012. I would be more shattered if Sylvia left the club, in fact I would be happy for Tom to go to keep Col on our list.
-
I better cut my membership up before 7.40 tonight, 2011 is doomed. Look on the bright side we thought 2007 was our year and it was the start of 3 years of hell. Last year we showed we will be a good side this year we will continue to show signs of this. With a little luck we can make the eight. Bring on 7.40 tonight
