Now this kThis type of post really does my head in FFS this guy who won't be named says something disparaging about a MFC person and then backs it up with a discussion with someone within the footy club who confirms the person is no good. Then you have a member of an opposing team who gives the author his own version of what a former player has said. Honestly are you for real? My first question is what's in it for you, your friend, the MFC staffer, the Hawthorn player and Frawley? By that I mean each person in this scenario has a different personal and professional relationship with JM and those around him. JM may have provided advice or a decision that was not received positively, Maybe JM is in a role one of the above covets. All of you have a motive for why this view has formed Secondly all these people seem to hide behind their anonymity (bar Frawley) who is being quoted and quite frankly if you can't say what you need to say to JM's face then that just lacks character. Thirdly JM does not need to be charismatic or animated as a leader in fact I would rather he be dead pan and serious when it comes to fronting the AFL journalist at Trade time. My point is as long as he produces quality work its a moot point we all can't be Peacock's and Eagles organisations need Doves and Owls too. Finally the proofs is in the pudding our trade period was successful in that we got value for money in players and traded higher up the draft. NB: I don't know JM I am not pro or anti him. I am a member of this club who thinks shitty politics and sniping like this belong in Parliaments, Soapies and High School. Save the drama and [insert storm in a Tea cup JPEG here] for someone else. But hey that's only my opinion'

Happy with the trade and if it remains with 3 & 7 rate it an A. Have had a smile on my face since I heard the swap of picks trade with GCS.

Don't think he will be going anywhere personally. His agent said he feels he may leave but he had not advised him of that just feels he may leave. I reckon the numbers ppl are quoting for his asking price are hugely inflated and whilst he is asking for more as stated by his agent I don't think it's as much as some say. I think this may just pan out like Dustin Martin at the Tiges last year he will end up re-signing, no real reason other then listening to the agent and Mahoney over the last few weeks.

I notice O Wines contract end 2016, he also fits the profile of 21-24 and competitive. Imagine if we pulled him out from under PA's noses. Pipe dream I know but.......? Apologies if someone has brought this up already, but I am sure some one will disabuse me of this dream nonetheless. Have at it D'Landers! Have at it!

Not sure about Prestia but Parkers agent said they are close to a deal with the Swans and he had no plans of playing anywhere other then Sydney. Aish is contracted and I think he will be at Brisbane at least until his contract finishes. Treloar I read somewhere has nominated Collingwood so if we go hard we would need to pay overs, which our club will not as it has roll on effects for future years list management. This is the difference that we have seen with the new recruitment and list management at the Dee's its more methodical and planned. Sure getting a Big Fish would be great but not at the detriment to what the profile of player that has been planned through out the year. Josh talked about looking for 21-24 Year old competitive players, to compliment the age profile of our Club. That is pretty specific and some of those players fall into that category so you can be sure we went hard for them. I reckon our list is not the issue for attracting players but the fact we have been a bottom team for so long, the only way to combat that, is to win more games. Just out of interest whose head would you be calling for if there's no big fish reeled in?

"Well tell him to get off it before he breaks his neck, doesn't he realise we serve food off of it!" 'Boom Tish' Just in relation to Dawes, listening to Mahoney when asked about Dawes on Trade Radio he seemed a little peeved in the fact that Dawes along with a few other players names were mentioned in meetings and all of a sudden he now has to respond to all the names as if they were all leaving or being traded. I reckon he is [censored] about leaks from other clubs or agents. If it's from within MFC I reckon he would be livid. He also seemed to allude to players names are always raised by clubs within their initial meetings and that's par for course at this time and you can't really read to much into it. I wouldn't be bothered too much with the possibility of Dawes leaving because he would need to be agreeable to it in the first place as he is contracted. But if he and Hogan can get some synergy going up forward I reckon it would be great for the club.

Great news love Col Garland he deserves his lifetime membership,

I don't agree that he is a lightweight in fact I think that is a bit harsh tbh, I may be in the minority according to your post but there it is. If he is improving as a player and indication are he is, the speed at which he is coming along may not be to my liking but he is improving. we get other supporters talking about how MFC does not develop there young talent, which is bs. But are we not perpetuating this by throwing the baby out with the bath water by calling for a young high draft picks to be dumped. I reckon one more year for the Toump is not unreasonable or inconceivable, because the risk of getting someone in who has to learn the structures or is fresh from TAC or othe state leagues. There are players who impact straight away and there are players who need a little time next year is his make or break.
-
What I don't get is how does Bennell cost any other club a pick if GC are dumping him? I understand that he is contracted until 2017 so why would you bother negotiating they either sack him and let him go to the draft or work with him as he plays out his contract. If no one offers trade or otherwise then what would GC do? If he is dumped another club could offer a lifeline for nothing in the PSD.

Great game from Frawley well done he got what he wanted...success in GF. In the end that's what Football is about winning a flag, can't begrudge someone who wants success. I am one who won't cry over spilt milk and I wish him well in the future but only when he doesn't play against the Dee's. On those games he can kiss my ass!

...the answer to the question. How do you get paid to take a 3 year holiday in Perth without breaking a sweat?
-
Hi my name is Felix and I am Fish....OH MY GOD ? you don't know how much I have longed to be able to stand before you all and speak my truth. For years I have lived in denial and have been hiding my true self from you all. The constant burden of carrying fresh water with me everywhere the hours of explaining my allergies and my affinity to swimming and water sport in general. But I must reiterate I am not "The Big Fish" I am only owning up to being "a fish"
-
Ok just to put you all out of your misery....i will admit that I am a Big Fish..I just swim in a very small pond!
-
If true would mean he will be a 1 club player, which just brings a smile to my face. ? Well done MFC?

Have heard from family in Perth he is going to Richmond but you never know these days.

Roos's persona in the Media (Burgo included) is exactly what i would like from a senior coach considered and thoughtful. Occasionally you see his passion but as long as he is able to keep the team motivated to keep on pushing themselves then he is doing a fine job. The boys that are driving this teams improvement have been on display all year and the effort is evident compared to recent years. If you want instant success you are dreaming! We are coming from a long way back! -

It certainly is frustrating D'Landers. The way I see it we have 2 options Option 1 or Option 2 This season I seem to be running out of stuff to break. -
Every year it's the same everytime we play in NT a post come out about home games not at home. Everytime I see a post like this I almost hear Sonny and Cher singing "I got you babe"

Does that meant Bummers and Port are stuffed lol?

What's amazing about Jack Watts is that for all the coaches and changes in leadership in his career he is still in the team. Love him or hate him people whose job it is to coach and list manage (a list that has him on it) still believe in him. If they remove him from the list I will ridicule him till kingdom come. If he is removed from the 22 I will question his effort and work rate like many do. But right now Roos and Co believe he is doing the job they want him to do. So whilst he is in the Red and Blue and in our 22 I will support him. Congrats Jack on your 100th game.
