OMG some posters really need to let go! Like Chip, Mitch Clark is gone. We will get a trade. The club wont stand in his way. Why care about someone who does not want to play at MFC? The pick or otherwise we will recieve will be what you would expect for someone who has his ability and his risk. Some posters are acting like Mitch had ran over their dog or slapped their child in public. Mitch Clarks Status = Gone-ski

I dont disagree or agree with this post it just a long one to quote so we can get to the 100

It made me laugh so well done!

Song I think they needed to say something and this seems the standard fare for clubs in this situation although they, like everyone else, are waiting to see what Patrick and his manager say when they sit down to discuss extending his contract post 2015
-
I think that is and always has been the plan. Mind you though if Dangerfield says he is not happy at the Crows then its good to see that our lines already in the water.
-
Is it sad that when I read this post I could not help but lmao? Oh and just realised noone had posted since last night and felt the topic needed further oxygen lol. Patrick is not in MFC's Cart (yet) but he is definelty on the Wish List

I thought that PJ was simply annoyed with the narrative in the media around priority picks. As he stated MFC can not ask for a priority pick as the AFL have removed them from the agenda. MFC could only request "Special Assistance" and the request was for this not for a Priority Pick. If you look at the Media prior to that interview they kept banging on about Priority Pick this and Priority Pick that but in reality the AFL have removed Priority Picks from there suite of assistance for badly performing clubs and have only left the option of requesting Special Assistance. If I was the CEO of MFC I would be annoyed with the way the media kept on talking in temr of Priority Picks as it is a beat up and was not what MFC could or had requested.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JIMMY TOUMPAS
felixdacat replied to Demanding Success's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes we are all human beings but human beings come with Stories, values, customs, language, food, art and ways of living that are so diverse. This is embedded into our family histories. We are not Homogeneous Empty vessels that you can pour in an identity that is made up of some Ideal Australian or Melbourne which we all need to conform to. We are a heterogeneous society encompassing a spectrum of madness to genius with all the points between. Why do you have a problem with the concept of an Australian born person saying they are Greek, English or Irish of whatever? Acknowledgement of their family history is not a challenge it just a fact that makes up someones identity. The fact that they may be 3 or 4 generation moved does not change the fact that they are Greek or what ever. Its just like saying your Christian or Muslim or left handed. Your perception that this is elitist or separation is ironic because your saying that people need to be like this and they cant be like that or 2 things completely different they need to choose one way or the other. Oh and Arrogance is not a cultural characteristic arrogance is just one of the many fine human qualities that exist in all societies and in all cultures. -
I wonder what happens in relation to Adelaide's interest in ROK http://www.afl.com.au/afl/search?query=ryan+o%27keefe

It is an interesting debate this just to change tangents a little IMO Religions are spiritual belief system that are based on humans search to the age old questions where do we come from? Why are we here? And what happens when we die? These three questions most belief systems provide their own answers for eg Each religions and even cultures all have a creation story which the plot of all of them goes First there was nothing (chaos) then something/one/being created form out of chaos and voila. Sciences Big Bang Theory also runs along this plot. With the singularity or event causing form out of chaos. Beliefs systems are deeply ingrained into our Psyche and even the most ardent Nihilist regardless will at some point ask themselves these question. (Usually at the time of their impending demise) Nihilism in itself must be very lonely because a gathering of Nihilist what would you talk about - nothing? beliefs systems like religion are also attached to our identity and our self esteem. Both of these things are deeply personal facets to our live so when we are challenged produce a defense that is vehement in it protection. As I said its just an opinion and may not be for every one but I felt I just needed to share lol

Range Rover has gone? OMG

Yes Monoccular International usually means interactions between a number of nations. Funny group of nations to choose though. It would seem you are trying to make a point but are not able to articulate it. Or your joking.

Jesus would have probably said something like "Cotchin should have chosen to kick the opposite way when he won the toss"
-
Your right but IIRC it is an international human right
-
When free speech is used to cause harm it needs to be addressed. Speech has been used to threaten violence, sexually harass, mislead and defame people. Free speech whilst a human right has to be limited at times to protect people from serious harm. B H was not only religiously vilified he was defamed. Yes sometimes it seems that society is getting to precious but the reality is our society has people who are ignorant, violent and not exactly bright which in itself is a volatile combo. Allowing people to say what they feel like whenever they like removes protection for those who are susceptible to being victimized and targets for serious harm.
-
OMG you have got to be kidding me right!? Sometime H H you really need to stop and think about what you type. Before you type an opinion or post just think to yourself "What would Jesus do?"Interestingly unlike in VIC Religious Vilification is not legislated in SA. Thankfully for posters on D land there is no idiot/moron/dopey vilification laws or we might lose some of you all Me included
