If guilty. Player suspensions? No. Essendon loses points? No. Fines & footy department scapegoats? Yes.

Stereotypes save time.

Balwyn North, and Melbourne Grammar. I know me my soft private school boys.
-
Xavier Ellis - we already have too many private school boys. Give me force-of-nature, tattooed, toothless bumpkins or hulking chip-on-shoulder Diamond Valley ferals desperate to make careers as league footballers. Gimme size, power and attitude.

Have the expansion teams highlighted a lack of depth in the AFL? Well, in the short term, yes. The big issue is whether that lack of depth will be corrected over time as the expansion teams draw more juniors to Aussie Rules.

Moloney being tagged by Sydney - one touch. FTB

I cry with envy every time Selwood smashes into a pack, reefs out the hard ball, bursts away and either slots a goal or pinpoints the ball into a Geelong chest. Superstar.

Daniher's biggest problem was that he regularly coached an average list to above-average results, which meant that when he ran out of steam (as so often happens) our player list was light on for talent, which was in turn exacerbated by a horror run with injuries in the first half of 2007. Also, losing Scott Thompson at the end of 2004 was crucial, and perhaps even Wizard should have stayed. With both still in the side we were a big chance to pinch flags in 2005 and/or 2006.

The best thing about Scully going to GWS is that we managed to get a second chance at top draft picks after it looked like Scully may fall short of expectations. (Personally, I started to worry about Scully when he was tagged out of a practice match against Brisbane in the 2011 pre-season.) We need to thank the Melbourne hierarchy for their smart dealing as they managed to keep driving up Scully's asking price by convincing all and sundry that Scully was worth a bundle. The worst thing is that by trying to keep Scully (I'm not sure how hard Melbourne tried to keep him) we started freeing up salary cap space in late 2010, so we jettisoned Junior McDonald, who is Demon royalty.

Suggestions of moving the Dee's to Tasmania

Click bait. -
... But if ASADA give six months you can back it in the AFL will turn that into fines and footy department sackings.
-
This is the AFL. They will pull every string known to mankind to minimise brand damage and maintain competition architecture. Peter Bruchner, who is an expert in these matter, has suggested that any Bombers players found guilty by will ASADA

And the many action stylings of Jason Statham.

3AW. PS: there are about 10,000 hours worth of movie slots on Foxtel every month, but you are lucky if you find more than 20 hours worth of watchable films.

Sometimes you just get caught with AW in the background.

I know Melbourne is currently a basket case, but I hope no one else was forced to endure the barely concealed glee with which Swine Russell and to a lesser extent, traitor Healy, proposed a call-in topic about how no young draftee would ever want to go to Melbourne, and how it would be interesting if you could pick your own club.

Moloney has made a career out of smashing rubbish sides. Awful flat track bully. Rarely plays well against strong sides. Bailey set up blocks which enabled Moloney to win centre clearances in tanden with Jamar, but which were easily countered by better organised on-ball oppositions. Neeld demanded Moloney win his own footy, and Moloney showed he was not up to the task.

THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo

You're kidding yourself if you reckon Caro will dine out on humble pie tomorrow night. She will maintain there is still an investigation at Melbourne; that questions still to be asked & answered since she as shirty the Demons refused to answer questions last week; and keep slamming Melbourne for being badly run. And since Garry is hopeless at prosecuting an argument without getting emotional and/or sidetracked, he will fail to nail any Caro inconsistencies. Hutchy may pipe in with some smart-alec snipes. Lloydy will, well, try to look insightful. -
Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

Neil Craig is famous for introducing colostrum to the Crows in 1997. He was reputed to be a savvy and enthusiastic proponent of sports science. If he did not know about Bates and Dank, why? If anyone is going to know about the application of out-there bio-chem substances, it is Neil Craig. -
Tony Shaw: "I don't want to call him 'Coneelio'. I prefer 'Coniglio'. Sounds like 'Caliglia'." Typical Shaw gibberish. But nothing will top Shaw's effort on North's Cunnington: "North have a good list of youngsters. I particularly like Ben Cuntington. Cuntington will be a fine player. See! I told you I would say it right."

They are?!?

Cameron had 8 disposals and one lucky goal. Frawley had 17 disposals. They didn't play on each other all day, but I'd say Chip went alright.

I don't get the impression the "cheap seats" comment was about Melbourne fans.

Whether Vlad is, or isn't, the best CEO the AFL has had is up for debate, but what is not up for debate is that Vlad absolutely loves the chance to get in the media and be bombastic.

Time to invest in Dan Bates effigies.
