  1. Buddy was a Dees fan and even during his time at Hawthorn and Sydney he secretly barracked for Melbourne. Or so I heard.
  2. At least the current North have provided competition for the "worst team since Fitzroy" title.
  3. This is the reason I have kept my Demons reserved seat membership on top of my MCC membership.
  4. I played for them too, and there were plenty of scraps in the club rooms in the early 90s.
  5. The Blues certainly look impressive, but whenever they have struggled, both in patches of games and more generally in games they've lost, it's because oppositions' defences have shut down their run-and-gun, and we have the best shut down defence.
  6. I love a good footy fact, and that's a beauty. Who knew? I mean, apart from medicos.
  7. "Players have resonated towards him." Resonate towards?!? Tom Browne's schooldays were a bust? Who uses resonate in a semi-transitive sense? The man's a journalist, for Pete's sake. And a lawyer. Philistine!
  8. The VoN will come back with interest if we don't win the flag.
  9. I'd be stunned if we hadn't already war-gamed multiple tags.
  10. He's an evil legend among all my Demon supporting school friends.
  11. Speaking of dishonourable mentions - sorry, Neeldy.
  12. Sorry, Balmey. Sorry, Roosy. Dishonourable mentions.
  13. Smith, Goodwin, Northey, Daniher, Dennis Jones.
  14. Round 1, 2019. A rancid loss at the MCG against Port.
  15. Yes. We've got to be careful we don't overrate wins in which the opposition miss chances or we will be ambushed when sides do take chances. Still, Hawks are the best side we've played this year and as WJ said, we had an unsettling week.
  16. "PRIMARY reasons" plural is not grammatically legit; especially with "PRIMARY" capitalised for emphasis
  17. Does that make him a goal shark?
  18. Trinity must have close to the most AFL/VFL and former AFL/VFL players of any school.
  19. Cull is what other more heartless clubs do. We deselect.
  20. Two dodgy umpire decisions. Not that I'm dwelling.
  21. There were 6 1/2 minutes to go in the last quarter. Not quite sitting tho. He was pretending to pick up the ball, then threw himself backwards.
  22. There was a moment in the second half near the centre of the ground where Shorty Daniel was sitting on the ground in a pack of players and feeling a player behind him, threw up both arms and lunged backwards as if shot in a 1960s war movie. If I were the umpire I would have sent him off for overacting.
  23. Not quite. The umpires conspicuously avoided paying the Dogs too many dodgy frees in the GF.
  24. Tied for last: Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond, Hawthorn, St Kilda, West Coast, Bulldogs. Tide for second last: Port, Norf, Sydney, Freo, Geelong, Lions, Crows. Shrug: Giants, Suns.
