Fortress Marvel.

On face value it appears a solid appointment, but I seem to recall Pie mutterings in Pert's last period as CEO.

Why do people always seem to think highlights are better with rubbish music?

Richo was having a rant on AW about Rance being called a diver on the socials. It was funny to read all the comments having a go at Rance, with only a small percentage defending him. Guess who all the defenders barracked for. That's right, the Tiggers. Richo, Tiggers fans, Mandy Rice Davies comes to mind: well, they would say that. Rance clearly dived against Essendon. And while his dive was less pronounced against Port, it was interesting that he was nudged sideways, but then went flying forwards.

Time wasting is not what I call the acme of energetic pragmatism that is posting about the Dees.

Yes, I'm hoping the same. Fingers crossed he gets a good run without injury, because if - big if - he can stay fit he'll be an asset. Plus, he's faster than Jobe and Josh. Inside grunt, with size and outside speed is a rare quality. Reading between Goody's lines this morning - actually, extrapolating with extreme prejudice - I suspect he rates Aaron.

Are there any women here?

According to Round Robbo, I am close to the mark. Well, his mark, for what it's worth.

Collingwood deserves QB home games.

Gawn is currently fighting it out with Grundy, with Nik Nat & Lycett pinching each other's credits. Nevvy was fantastic on the weekend, but I'm not sure he's had a better year than last - although I'm also not sure about his back pocket competition. Hogan is playing better than Brown, but has not kicked as many goals, and there is a lot of love for Brown. Oliver is up against some heavyweight competition, and is probably just off the leaders.

We drafted Troy, and were his first club. -

Brent Williams and Matty Collins. Pity we couldn't get something out of Williams. He had heaps of talent, but no application. Ended up kicking bags of goals in the Eastern Footy League. -

Nick Pesch. -
We got heaps more frees. It was like Melbourne had been flung into a parallel universe.

Jake Niall writing that the Dees have space for Gaff is code for the Dees being right into Gaff and well in the race to sign him.

Clarry "one of the best to emerge in last 20 years"
Tony Tea replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Clarry's pace to (and from) a contest is astonishing. He hits the contest at speed without much of a run-up and uses the ball almost before he gets it. -
Lever targetted Adelaide.

To be fair to the AFL, Judd won his Carlton Brownlow despite only elbowing Pavlich in the face.
-
Which is what happened with us and Frawley. Gil will make sure Carlton is looked after in the FA department.
-
Hope the Blues didn't lure us into a false sense of achievement. Were were pretty good but were reasonably sloppy at times. The opposition were pretty damn dreadful, and were were able to capitalise on their under age level mistakes. Adelaide won't make as many mistakes, and will be much better organised.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 10
Tony Tea replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Did the house fall on T-Mac's foot? -
Harmes looked like a proper footballer as soon as he was selected for the Dees. It was just a matter of development. Continuous development, actually. If he can keep getting better he will cement his spot in the 22 and become an important AFL player.

I sincerely hope you touched wood until your hands fell off?

I've given up worrying about the fixture.
