  1. Not Adrian Anderson again?

    Caro Wilson

He struggled big time with regard to Firrito's gesture. Archer looks so uncomfortable and has little input for the show. A comment here or there and most of the time is having a dig at Hutchy or Caro. Waste of space on Footy Classified.
  3. :D Yes. The thick plottens. Being a huge growth corridor it would be neglectful by the AFL to dismiss casey's proposal. Dees to establish the foundations and 'should' get the best of deals having been seen as the foundation AFL club within the area of Casey.
  4. See the number he's wearing... RDB - 31! Does anyone know what number he has been allocated for Melbourne? I think the Whitten Oval has the same grass. It looks bone dry at present. Greens up around October. It looked great back in early June. Does look like carpet at present. Great decision - most likely a decision based on the drought conditions and saving water..
  5. Good question. Mark Thompson stating West Coast will be in for a hard day could result in the Cats at full steam this weekend. A win for us over Richmond and a quite possible demolition of the eagles by the cats could well see us finish 15th. Therefore avoiding the wooden spoon. A scoreline along the lines of Geelong 152 to West Coast 47 for example could give West Coast the Spoon and the number 1 pick. But, we would have to beat Richmond for that to happen....
  6. :D Correct. ie. Rd 22 v Carlton, 2007. Glad to have Grimes on board even if he hasn't taken to the park yet. TJ never wanted to do the hard yards, always cut corners IMO.
  7. I think Yze wishes to continue, he has said previously that he thinks he has some football left in him. I think he is hoping for a trade or put himself in the PSD as a top up for a club. I would of thought a trade would be unlikely. PSD IMO. I wish Ooze and Whitey all the best for their future, they have been both wonderful servants for the club.
  8. Swish Amount now: - $2,645,588 C'mon Dees..
  9. Yes. Good post update on new Mfc CEO Schwab. It fills in some of the gaps. Just with the Fox situation last week......makes me wonder what has been happening behind the scenes.... :D
  10. Something changed his mind...I wonder what it was? Hmmm. <_< Yes. On with the job now. He's had a look at the books before making the decision. Incorrect. He became CEO after 1996 merger talks. Correct. We shall find out.

    on the couch

Better to say nothing, if there is nothing nice to say Chook. It doesn't end there. Sunday's Herald-Sun - no write up on the game. FARK!
  12. Exactly. We'd be giving up too much for him. Similar to when we got Moloney. Same kind of player as Moloney anyway. Sylvinator is not far off..... Here is my speculative view, if we finish bottom: - Picks 1, 17, 19, 35, 51. OUT: 7 players Neitz - retired Yze - finished at Melb Holland White - finished at Melb Bode - delisted Weetra - delisted 1 x Trade of some sort - Ie Green IN: 7 players ( 5 via picks ND; 1 Rookie upgrade; 1 PSD) pick 1 pick 17 pick 19 pick 13 or 14 or 15 (acquired from trading Green) - Perhaps Bulldogs (with a swap for Pick 35; might have to be Pick 19) Note: West and Eagleton possible retirements. pick 51 Wonaeamirri- rookie upgrade Robbie Warnock (pick 1 PSD) I think Valenti will remain on the rookie list. White possible trade for exchange of late picks. May result in Pick 51 being upgraded to in the 40's at best. Yze, Holland should finish up.
  13. Brown, Cousins, Kerr, Green , Rutten, White. Who will go, who will stay? Where will they go? Its that time of the season where speculation is at the extreme end of the scale...... . Further speculation: - IMO Brown will stay. Rutten will stay. Cousins to Collingwood. Kerr to Essendon. White to Sydney.
  14. Well done Bazza with the reports. KC from Casey might just stick....
  15. 6. Sylvia 5. Buckley 4. Martin 3. Wheatley 2. JMac 1. Morton
  16. The best was Colin Sylvia by a street. Honourable mentions to Bruce, Martin, Buckley and JMac. Wheatley racked up possessions down back switching and transferring play, whilst Bell was one of the most ineffective - 65%. With only three players more ineffective. Morton was average.
  17. Definite chance based on: - 1/ His game for Sandy 2/ The pathetic showing of 3/4's of the side against Port Adelaide.

    Rd 1 2009

Fantasy...that just about sums this thread up. I doubt that. No one will come close on GF day. Except Hawthorn if they play well. They need a bit of X-factor though. Maybe Stewy Dew?
  19. Perhaps it wasn't considered news worthy. Disappointing display of skills by the Dees. (Stating the obvious)
  20. Isn't the work site for the ground at Rooty Hill? I'm sure BB or someone posted something about it on another thread.
  21. Nik Nat, paddy whack the drumstick is just that IMO. Scott Clayton would go for him because the GC17 franchise need a marketable player IMO. For me, he is like a box of chocolates - "You never know what you're going to get"
  22. No. I guess that is unanimous then?
  23. This is what Robbie will be sleeping on. Playing second fiddle to Sandilands or being given the message that No.1 position is there at Melbourne if you are interested in coming back home on a enticing contract. Nothing illegal about the pitch. He is injured and is not playing another game this season. The ball is in "Robbie's court" with only him to decide what is best. Whilst it may of not been said, this would have been the underlying message as part of the Powerpoint presentation and meeting the players who would of expressed there desire for him to be part of something exciting in the near future..
