  1. I read the article. Watts thanks.
  2. Great initiative Clint!

Even if we get Warnock? What side of the bed did you get out this morning?
  4. Big Key forwards are a bigger problem than the midfield. Besides GOOD Forwards are harder to find than Mids.
  5. Yeh, and after Round 2 he was still a fan of Weetra's too!
  6. Hasn't Frawley just been signed up?!
  7. I understand your frustration, in many ways each weekend of late, we all get a reality check of where the club is at. We all talk the side up during the week with posts and we build some players up, then when the sired sounds at about 10 minutes to 5 o'clock we have that grim feeling of how far the side has got to go. It is a bit extreme trading them all. For right now their value is very low in the eyes of opposition teams. Like DB stated, and I believe it is right. Alot of it is attitude. Not following to instruction, and not being capable to follow to instruction. So DB is faced with many problems. He even told them, if they can't do that they will find themselves out the door. In the gun will be Green, Bell, Dunn IMO.
  8. Many rate him on his first year when the club did well in '06. He was a tagger, negator that year. He did not punish sides with the ball in his hands. Now the side is performing shockingly, bartram is under the microscope like never before. He got picked up at 60. That is about where he is at even today.
  9. Just take Watts. He'll play a few games. In between school studies. Much like Maric.
  10. Can't see Port getting Nik Nat now.
  11. If Robbie Warnock becomes harder and harder to get him to Melbourne. The more I think Melbourne will be looking to Naitanui for their pick. Alot hinges on Robbie Warnock crossing the line. If the Mfc secure him in the trading period or are confident he will go through to the PSD. Watts will go at No.1.
  12. Grimes is different from the other 4 IMO. I'd keep all five at this stage.
  13. Jungle drums are beating......Melbourne and Freo could be contemplating swapping picks 1 and 3? Probably...has something to do with Warnock....It would enable Freo to choose Naitanui or Rich ahaead of West Coast. Watts at 3 for Melbourne. (West Coast No.2 =Rich, Naitanui).
  14. I'd agree with these suggestions. But, if there were a deal put on the table for Melbourne for Green that result in a pick from 13-16. I'd probably take it. Bell & Dunn frustrate me all the same.
  15. Who's to say Watts will or won't deliver in his first year. As Brereton states he would recommend he not play much if not at all, in his first year.
  16. I'm not advocating trading players. But in response to the post, players and clubs move on and form new bonds if and when they do get traded. Smith fitted in well with Hawthorn after the move. And the Saints moved on. The same with Guerra, etc. Business is business. When the Hawks moved players on a few years ago, Crawford wondered what was happening and thought he too may have to move on. But he stayed and was mightily glad he did, forming new friendships with an influx of young kids that he now mentors. He couldn't be happier.
  17. I think he has been the best performed footballer in the second half of the season by the length of the Flemington straight and would not be suprised in the slightest if he got up and won the B&F from Green, McLean and Wheatley.. I would not of thought Bruce will be traded based on his form and secondly with 2 years of his contract to run.
  18. Yep.: - HE IS a genuine top-five choice in this draft, but I would recommend that he doesn’t play in 2009 at AFL level. Physically, he will get punished. But if Melbourne wants an excellent longterm prospect that will assist its structure from 2010 and beyond, then this boy is a target
  19. Think I'll have nightmares..... Ah what's the difference the whole season has been a nightmare anyway... Nice one BB.
  20. I think you should re-read the whole thread JJC, thoroughly. Then re-consider. Rogue a number of times said Grimes should be considered to play against Richmond based on merit and his form in Sandy 1sts. There is no need for an apology.
  21. Those three are out. Martin was a bit stiff. Wheats survives. DB is sticking to his guns regarding form. Good to see. Keeping things accountable right throughout.
  22. It is debatable whether he is or isn't the standout No.1 pick and the best available talent. As Dermott Brereton alluded to in his article in the HUN. He even says he is the best available for Melbourne's structure, and if Melbourne are to look at him as a long term option.
  23. So if DB is ruling out trading ANY senior player. Does that mean he could possibly NOT rule out trading a younger player? <_<
  24. I can count 3 this year for a start...... which maybe close to someone's IQ.
