  1. Perhaps a combination of both...which would probably come down to his attitude, concentration, application & dedication to his club.
  2. Good win. 5 days of tough cricket. Good to see Smith come out in search of the draw. Ntini dug in which was good. A good Test. This is what Test cricket is all about....
  3. Did he lose on "the river"...? Nice win, well done.
  4. Definitely Jamar, how can you not recognise him, despite the moustache?
  5. Kerry O'Keefe said the same regarding McDonald yesterday for the 5th day. Should be interesting the 1st session.
  6. Correct. But as part of 'our' new year's resolution, can we not mention his name again this year? I can't help but think "what if"....or "if only".....
  7. Hmmm. That would explain some delay during trade period. Interesting.
  8. That's pretty good. Let's hope that its above 20-22,000 before the start of the NAB Cup.
  9. The quote of the last line of Redleg's original post Jarka, IMO is simply a plea of passion and a call to arms to do what they can do, that's all. He's in coaching mode in a way. ie. Asking for a last quarter effort. In this case, purchase memberships. I'm sure Redleg would understand that not all Mfc members would be able to purchase an additional membership.... . But they might be able to purchase a little merchandise instead....
  10. Good declaration IMO by Punter. Much better than batting Sth Africa out of the game.
  11. Why thanky-you Rogue. Bollinger in for Sydney Test. AS- 1/10 BH- 7/10 BL- 1/10 - I said after the india tour, before the Aussies played NZ that he wasn't right, he should have been rested against NZ. I agree with your assessment. MJ - 8/10 - Outstanding strike bowler for Punter and the team. Consistently performs at 140km/h +. And looks to have found a good bowling partner in Siddle. NH - 2/10 - A defensive minded spin bowler who should noty have been selected for SYdney. Krejza should have. Regardless of Melbourne. Krejza is an attacking spin bowler. I prefer to attack than contain. PS - 6/10 at present with a bullet, Match winning performance of 5/59 in Sydney Test. Coming of age for him. Agree. But if the Aussies win in Sydney he may see Sth Africa. Good call. So do I. Doesn't lose pace over 30 overs from him during a day's play. I agree. Either 6 Specialist Bats plus Haddin, and 4 specialist bowlers. Or 6 specialist Bats and a legit all-rounder plus Haddin and 3 specialist bowlers - which we don't seem to have a legit all-rounder with Symonds, Watson inj. or out of form and MacDonald our next best option (selectors view). Mitchell Johnson offers us something as an all rounder IMO. His batting is improving and he's average is on the up (23 -24 at present).
  12. Agree. And more game experience.
  13. Personally, IMO the ideas posted by Redleg are good ideas based on the topic "Membership Attack". Regardless of what financial situation mfc supporters/members find themselves in. It's all for the benefit of the mfc, which incidently finds itself in a precarious position much like many companies and businesses at present. Fwiw, I consider myself an average aussie, doing it just as tough as the next average aussie.
  14. How true. RIP Broady. I really believed Broady would make a great CHB and man up on the AFL's best CHF's. Sorely missed.
  15. Good work.
  16. Cheers KC. Like updates like these. P.S. KC from Casey - has a good ring about it, like Casey Casums top 40 did years ago. Maybe you should have a top 40?? Much like MS's top 50, from the Hun....
  17. Whilst it was an interesting read and out of left field approach by Vibes. I agree with this sentiment by Jarka.
  18. Not for me. It's always finished with Blue. Why change that? The finish must surely rhyme don't you think?
  19. Happy New Year. Andrew MacDonald?
  20. Well, with respect to injuries, I recall Greg Healy, Garry Lyon and on occassions in his last couple of years David Neitz spending time on the sidelines whilst Captain. If Brock is injured, then Green or Bruce or McDonald can fill the void for that time being. Like you, I hope Brock can be Captain. You may be right with your thoughts on what the club might do.
  21. Dougy Bollinger could get a look in for Siddle.
  22. If Collingwood had already pre-arranged the announcement for a press conference a day or two in advance I think its just coincidence. But if it were a snap press conference and the media were alerted on the actual day, I would find that staggering and you would have to query why...perhaps you're right in that they thought it might be a good time to announce Maxwell with a reduced media contingent. ALthough, Maxwell to me fits the captaincy mould, and handles the media very well, he communicates well and from what I've heard is very accessible.
  23. Yeah I noticed that too, Casey didn't rate a mention. Nothing sinister here though, but surprised he didn't bring it up when asked what happened at the Summit.
  24. Care to elaborate... Do you think the Magpies may have wanted to 'sleek' in during this period - almost like undetected, hoping for minimal criticism by the media or something?
