  1. Neither do I, as long as it is mine. I worry about you though.
  2. Pendlebury Franklin Judd Because they don't play for us and all were Demons supporters
  3. This year we have seen real visible IMPROVEMENT week by week in Jack's game, application and intensity Yet, people still want to complain He aint there yet but the improvement is growing week by week, what do people want - an overnight complete makeover? Be REALISTIC and ENJOY the journey. I was critical of Jack's efforts last year but this year is a POSITIVE If you want to complain there was much more elsewhere yesterday
  4. Barts had a real Jeckyl and Hyde day today His bad was very costly, his good shows up in his stats. He certainly tried his guts out all day as he usually does.
  5. Despite all the ugly stuff and stoopid turnovers it was a 100% improvement over last weeks game (last 3Q's that is)
  6. GOOD HEAVENS is EVANS GOOD !
  7. (a) and (B) seem to be what they always were (at least as far back as I remember and thats considerable). that leaves interpretation, and this is constantly changing two things that still seem to be a factor is the home-crowd-effect, and the umpires favourites, but you can't legislate against that can you?
  8. I still don't understand why they made it illegal. Well not illegal, but don't allow for prior opportunity. Just another trick they removed from a ruckmans arsenal. What pizzes me most in ruckwork now is the use of arms when jostling for position. I'm sure when I was young that that would be pinged for "shepherding in the ruck". Its just so effinn ugly now
  9. Seems Bails has given up on being "competitive" and instead he said on radio they will this time "have a go" Glory be he has got a plan B after all!
  10. Rucks then were allowed to grab the ball too without penalty if tackled. I don't think this counted as a hitout but there were a lot of grabs and if I remember Stynes was quite adept at grabs.
  11. personally I think there is a much closer relationship to MFC premierships and sun spot activity. Has anyone here had a close look at it?
  12. Pendlebury signing for one year (no doubt for v.good coin) being a childhood demon fan is just saying "I think I'll grab another premiership here and then join the Dee's as they start to enter their premiership window"
  13. was that an intentional freudian slip?
  14. Would that be Phil McCafferty's cousin? He used to knock about with Ben Doon.
  15. Actually I can top that. I knew a Michael Evans when I was younger.
  16. I think some are more focussed on how their Facebook is going and their property developments
  17. Yet. just kidding, but it did seem to be a classic gamblers statement. Probably best left unsaid. BTW I'm with you on Facebook. Could we include Twitter too?
  18. I doubt the published team positions will bear much relationship to reality on game day IMHO
  19. Cold - it is a winter sport, Geelong would be colder (and despite no rain I typically find ShytyHead freezing) Uncomfortable - at the time spectator seating was no more uncomfortable than most parts of the G and everyone could get a seat Congested - not the ground, spectator area or parking, The surrounding roads, exits yes Hard to access - yes To me there were only two major problems 1/ Access by public transport - and this was purely political esp when the premier was on the board of trustees for MCG 2/ Arrangement of spectator area - too far from the boundary and too gentle a slope on tierring Point 1 could have been solved but point 2 would have required a massive rebuild A pity really because the sport really requires another large capacity stadium and they did stuff this one up. Others would argue that the location disadvantaged the growth areas North and West. True, but at that time, and before ShytyHead, there was room to also build a similar complex in the NorthWest. Anyway, its all water under the bridge now and the big end of town won out
  20. No arguments here, and you could add to the list Problem is most clubs would have the same list if you asked them So it all boils down to how you emphasise them teach them practice them enforce them reward them etc i.e. its not about defining the non-negotiables its about managing the non-negotiables that makes the difference.
  21. in which case he is also in-Seine.
  22. strange they dropped McEvoy, would have been a chance to play him back into form
  23. in that case I hope you make a s*** load of money
  24. You're getting there - "put your b***s on the line" And it was actually the unofficial school motto
