  1. The AFL could solve this issue by changing the wording of rough play appendix 1 to read as follows "Any perfect tackle will be immediately free-kicked and the player placed on a rough conduct charge" That should be clear enough.
  2. I can't understand what was wrong with frawley's comment. He didn't directly dispute the decision just commented on the impact of the outcome in a humorous way That should be "acceptable" surely
  3. but what do you really think - don't hold back B) loved it
  4. to be pedantic (or is that anal?) its actually ht not Ht B)
  5. no worries...we're all a bit rattled today
  6. hardtack i have no idea what your reply has to do with my comment my comment was a frivolous remark about the "new" status of tackling, nothing else your reply "seems" to have something to do with bate you need to get your sarcasm monitor or eyesight looked at
  7. I like something built around "Jack's hit" "AFL doesn't know Jack's hit" needs more work.....hmmm
  8. and each carrying a spare one for their opponent?
  9. Maybe the players should remove or cover-up the AFL logo on their jumpers Won't happen but would be a nice message
  10. better make that10-non-excessive-force tackles......
  11. the pain, outrage and helplessness lingers.......but i'm still alive...small mercies
  12. \ I agree with you WJ, but I'm also still paranoid. I'll survive though
  13. Sorry you're wrong Kent It is purely up to the attending medical staff. They are just saying tthat if player still has symptoms of concussion the following week he should not play and only a Dr can decide that. i There are instances of players getting concussed and playing the following week this season. THis dos not mean the initial diagnosis was wrong
  14. A couple of points Galbally's comment re symptoms is just lawyer talk to downplay original medical statement The afl have not said a player should not play the next week after concussion Agree with the rest
  15. I'm not sure that is true Suzanna. I think they just stated his current medical situation. I don't think they reytracted their original statement ans still stand by it as being true as at the time it was made. Anyone know for sure the facts?
  16. So can we expect the AFL to keep jumping at shadows every time some bad luck story arises from some god forsaken sport somewhere else in the god damned world? How the eff did this game survive for 150 years?
  17. How did you arrive at that conclusion? Forwards Howe Cook Fevola
  18. I wonder how long it will be before the AFL becomes the ANCFL ? (NC=non contact)
  19. I hear the Norf players will all be wearing helmets
  20. Be positive folks Every cloud has a silver lining to list a few there is....... and....... also....... not forgetting....... and finally...... See, not so bad at all
  21. Once upon a time there was a handsome prince who played for Carlton. One day he gauged the face of an opponent drawing blood. He got charged and because he was the afl poster prince he got let off. A few weeks later he won the Charlie whilst his victim looked on. True story
  22. Being an away game its very tempting dee-luded but I think the boys will need all our support. Lets lift the roof off and wear black arm bands.
  23. hmmm not a bad idea at all, worth persuing
