  1. Not forgetting Bater and Juice too
  2. In that case you'll have to go to the MRP. They know all about negligence.
  3. You're obviously a big risk taker B)
  4. I wish you'd stop bagging Juice
  5. If you really want to kick arzz sign up some sodomites
  6. "Knee soreness" is slightly more inventive than "general soreness"
  7. ShytyHead carpark will be fun though with all its diving boards
  8. 2019!! The MCG will be under water thanks to GW by then.
  9. Sorry mate, IMO he was woeful against Crows. 6 possessions, dropped chest marks etc. Had zero influence on outcome. You won't convince me otherwise.
  10. We already covered him on the Scully thread Decided he would be bad for team balance and not a true demon believer
  11. sorry dee-luded I think you're clutching at straws there we all know Bater has some talents (albeit limited) but he rarely shows them with any frequency and his deficiencies just stand out too much. I think playing one reasonable game every 6 outings has put his future in serious doubt. A pity cos a couple of years ago I thought he might come on but his development has stalled. I see him at Casey for the rest of the season with Juice (and preferably Dunne) and we pump some games into the youngsters whilst we can.
  12. FREE AGENCY - End Season 2012 HOW THE NEW SYSTEM WILL WORK A player has served seven seasons or less of AFL football at one club, and is now out of contract. The player is not eligible for free agency if his club wishes to retain him. He may only move clubs via a trade or the Draft. If he delists himself, he is subject to the Draft, and may be selected by any club. A player has served seven seasons or less of AFL football at one club, and has been delisted by his club. The player is a Free Agent and is eligible to field offers from all rival AFL clubs. The player must decide on the best offer of his choice from one rival club. The player can move AUTOMATICALLY to the new club of his choice. His original club, which chose to delist him, does not receive any compensation pick for the loss of the player. A player has served eight or more seasons of AFL football at one club, is one of the 10 highest-paid players at his club, and is now out of contract for the first time since reaching eight seasons of service. The player is eligible to field offers from all rival AFL clubs. If he wishes to change clubs, the player must decide on the best offer of his choice from one rival club. His club has the right to match the presented offer. If the club matches the offer, he may choose to remain with his original club, seek a trade or enter the Draft. If the club does not or can not match the offer, the player can move to the new club of his choice. His original club will receive a compensation pick for the loss of the player, on an AFL-determined formula to apply where clubs lose more free agents than they gain in any single transfer period. A player has served eight or more seasons of AFL football at one club, is NOT one of the 10 highest-paid players at his club, and is now out of contract for the first time since reaching eight seasons of service. The player is eligible to field offers from all rival AFL clubs. If he wishes to change clubs, the player must decide on the best offer of his choice from one rival club. His club does NOT have the right to match the presented offer, and the player can move AUTOMATICALLY to the new club of his choice. His original club will receive a compensation pick for the loss of the player, on an AFL-determined formula. A player has served ten or more seasons of AFL football at one club, has already come out of contract once in the period after serving his first eight or more seasons at his club, and is now out of contract. The player is eligible to field offers from all rival clubs. Exclusive to AFL BigPond Network
  13. getting out of my depth now.......... I just remember that "he's a very naughty boy" who talked his way into the leadership group
  14. Nothing to Lose? Can't agree. We will be judged on how we lose Players must show heart, determination and intensity or the rumbling will continue
  15. you mean rest on Sundays don't you? Much like Bater or Juice
  16. Much over-rated And any use of miracles would be banned as performance-enhancing-artifices Would go missing on Sunday games too
  17. many reasons, but the AFL would not accept it as a clash jumper - not "light" enough
  18. Agreed, I thought the clash jumper actually created the clash and the white shorts all the more so red, white and navy sure looks like red, white and black to me understanding the afl rules after the trengove episode is a bewildering exercise
  19. lol, and I know one os based 'lander who predicted a top 4 finish this year I didn't seek this year as a development year originally, more a tightening up year. Now I see the rest of the year as very much a development year. Blood some more of the youngsters (Howe, Nicholson, Blease, Strauss, Gawn, maybe Cook and some others). Bate, Newton and maybe some others to stay in the VFL no matter how they perform for Casey. BTW if you want to save some coin on your sojourns don't forget jcb's offer to pick you up at the airport
  20. There were a lot of people here on Demonland who wanted him at draft time. Biggest worry was whether he would be available for our first round pick Too late now..............
  21. Ouch, age discrimination.
  22. Ah, Thats not how I read your post. If you were referring to Bailey being responsible for actions pre2008 as stupid, then fair enough and I withdraw my comment/question re being remote example. Judging the team plan/tactics is much different being live at the game than watching on TV because you can see whats going on/not going on outside the TV frames. Whether the players are following the coaches game plan of course is another question but you can at least judge it for yourself better at the game. So the remote issue was in context of judging the coaches responsibility on game day.
  23. probably a bit unkind, but not to be taken too literally more making the point of being remote generally limits ones ability to judge certain things
  24. Why "in a very stupid way" is he responsible? How can you possibly deduce this from the remote outpost of Canberra? I'm holding off my final judgement for now though it doesn't look good. Bailey has been given a fairly free rein to rebuild the side and to say that (possibly) holding Bailey (in some way) reponsible is stupid, is just as stupid. We don't want an average or just reasonable coach, we want someone who can take us to a flag. If Bailey can't do that then get someone who can.
  25. it could mean dreamonlanders know nothing?
