  1. It won't be on field actions that sink the club, that can be easily explained away, if anything it will be the corroborated testimony of accounts of the words used to ensure that tanking would occur. Even then there is no rule against tanking i understand it, if there were to be a a charge it would be something like "acting against the spirit of the game" or similar". I am no legal eagle but that is how I understand it? Can anyone clarify?
  2. Correct, other clubs have done the same, the difference is that they have remained staunch and professional.
  3. Exactly, and I would be surprised if this actually occurred. Witnesses in this instance have little to gain. It's one thing having a whinge to the media, another thing entirely to sign up to it and be ready to jump in the box. Get ready for the media outrage when the investigation finds insufficient evidence to charge the club.
  4. I would plead guilty on the terms that we would be stripped of our Pick number 4 in the 2007 draft.
  5. I see this differently to many. A fit Rodan is exactly what our midfield needs. Could he be our most influential recruit for 2013? Maybe..
  6. Mark Neeld
  7. I wonder if hindsight will show us that Tom Scully was the best thing to happen to the club...or maybe 186...or both.
  8. I want this club to change and begin to catch up on the field. I want the coach that can achieve this. So far most of what Neeld does makes good sense to me and aligns with what I see that needs to be done. What I want most is for Neeld and others to be able to do the job unhindered and without bleeding hearts with no knowledge of what it takes to create a successful football team interfering.
  9. . I think you are missing the point. The FD did not want these players at the club and market determinwed their worth, which was virtually nil.
  10. I'd say "ripper" or "sh hot" but I probly grew up on the other side of the Yarra.
  11. And the cold reality is that an outside mid with poor decision making and disposal efficiency and an inside mid with poor body strength are not going to cut it in the AFL. Same as a skinny unathletic slow KPF.
  12. Who the hell is responsible? is one question you can ask.. The other question is, How the F*%% do we fix it? The FD was handed a poisoned chalice, there comes a time to cut losses. The comforting thing from my point of view is that our FD are no longer a soft touch and games and positions on the list will need to be earned.
  13. Bye Cale...good luck.
  14. Petterd's shoulders are not AFL standard I fear.
  15. Bye Jared http://www.heraldsun...t-1226498564307
  16. Reports by Hun journos that he is gone to cats on 2 year deal. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/department-of-trades/melbourne-defender-jared-rivers-set-to-join-geelong/story-fn69a32t-1226498564307
  17. That had everything, clever wit, charm, irony. You sir are a comic genius.
  18. Yep, early Danny Hughes. Sean Wight, Alan Johnson and Brett Lovett.
  19. He is a skinny inside mid with no real pace or other weapons. Something needs to change for him to become a senior AFL footballer.
  20. Thread becoming unreadable It is not titled " the incohent murmurings in your head" Am I out of beer, have to take the boys to basketball tomorrow, geez I feel like a chokito, they still make them?
  21. Exactly which is where the "best available" philosophy falls down. "Best available" what exactly.
