I am not going to get involved in an exchange of insults as that is your domain ...ie as a diversionary tactic by politicians and such. As for my personal crusade, you were called out by a number of the more intuitive people here, I didn't have to type a word. For the sake of people reading your posts, so that they know that you are objective and all that, please answer these questions What was your role at the club during these events? What are your personal ambitions regarding the MFC? NB: Please answer as Fan if you can please..

Viney is not purely an inside mid. He will work hard away from the contest as well and give a bit of zip.

If he stays on the park he will be great for us. -
I don't disagree with you at all on this point, I question everything constantly. It's the only way to improve. The club has screwed up in many ways over the years. One thing is certain is that the people who have caused this grief for the club were either reckless as to the damage that it could cause, or deliberately set out to cause damage. The words that caused the damage were outside the MFCs walls and jurisdiction. Should we not apply that scrutiny that you rightly put the club under to all things, including Demonland.

I am loathe to get involved in all of this for obvious reasons to some but I hope (again) that the club will head down the road to success due to a complete change of direction due to a different footy dept. I don give a F*&* if the decision to appoint the coach was rushed or flawed from a political sense. This club which as our coach said *"seemed to stand for everything else but footy" has been down this road before. We do not need snivelling little politicians on here who never comment on footy matters doing their little bit on here to attempt to destabilise the club (again) in attempts to further their little empires. What is heartening is that Demonlanders seem to be well and truly switched on to it. *EDIT: Malthouse said it not Need, Neeld apparently alluded to the statement.

If you are taking Olisik's views as representative of Demonland then we have no hope. Please stop quoting the bloke people, it defeats the purpose of me putting him on the ignore list. -
I love the bloke, but that is the big question for me. Chappy has twice the agility and zip that Tappy has. I just don't know where he fits..

Yeah read it again..

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOM GILLIES
jabberwocky replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
All the info prior to this year was that this guy was rated highly and was serving an apprenticeship whilst positions in defence became available. It was expected that he would become a very good senior fixture. For some reason GFC changed their ideas in 2012, no idea why. Shannon Byrnes would obviously know him very well. -

Is Ben Jacobs still going to Port Adelaide. You're awesome -
It also failed because it interfered with the natural order of things. IE work your arse off, get BOG at Casey for a lot of games in a row and then you might be considered for a senior berth. It inhibited what should have been the striving for excellence for the group.

Dean Bailey tells the AFL he didn't order players to lose
jabberwocky replied to Alf Stewart's topic in Melbourne Demons
We are in the premiership business not the litigation business and with my limited legal knowledge I would be surprised if any such action would be successful and would thus be a waste of time money and energy. Neeld's aim is to make the club about "football" -
What if the world ends tomorrow?

Pull some strings Ron and get it done. -
Which delisted player would you pick up before ND/PSD

Neeld would have a good look at Lonergan you would think. -
Dean Bailey tells the AFL he didn't order players to lose
jabberwocky replied to Alf Stewart's topic in Melbourne Demons
Now that we know that there were no directions from the coach to the players to lose games and that is supported by his captain and I would hazard a guess by other statements from actual players then one would think it would be nigh impossible to prove actual tanking took place.... I wonder if the AFL will find that some individuals have encouraged or attempted to conspire to bring the game into disrepute be it deliberately or through reckless use of language. Methinks likely. -
Whether or not the individuals discussed on this thread have had positions of influence within the club or not I have often wondered how much demonland was being used to push political agenda. Personally I don't like it and it affects the integrity of the site. It is no fault of the site itself rather a failing of the ethics of these faceless wimps.
