Why did you make 2 inexperienced footballers captain and and p1ssing off Frawley,Rivers,Moloney in the process causing dissent in the team. Why did you think replacing Moloney with Rodan and Martin with Pederson was a good idea-i'd take those 2 back in a heartbeat. Why do you persist with a useless zone defence when our players don't buy it,we stand so far off our opponents that we can't even tackle them resulting in 54 and 35 tackles in 2 games,there is no pressure on the opposition ball carrier resulting in an avalanche of goals. We are not in crisis,we are doing well financially and better than some other clubs. We have a coach who has a gameplan that our players aren't buying.The players aren't stupid,they know which teams' gameplans work and that ours doesn't.This 5 metre zoning is crap. JT had a great debut season,playing with confidence and flair and Neeld coached it out of him and he's shot mentally. Beamer's style didn't suit Neeld's gameplan,well we'd be a better team with Beamer's big body around the stoppages,feeding it out to our runners. Stef Martin is a B grader who's been replaced by D graders in Pederson,Gillies and Sellar---Stef is a better footballer than all 3. In all my years watching this great game,i've never seen a club come out of this with the same coach,it won't turn around with Neeld's gameplan that the players aren't buying. A thumping by the Eagles and a loss to the Giants and Neeld's gone. Jack & Jimmy don't need too much more of this crap.

I've seen enough of Gillies and don't want him in a Demon jumper again,if we could get him onto the Long Term Injury list somehow and elevate Magner,that's what we need right now,another big body in the guts to help Jones. Our midfield is our no. 1 priority right now and Magner rots away in the VFL,only at Melbourne!

Tappy kicks goals against Frankston,Woopee,he won't get a sniff against the Eagles,like Port last week. We need to see 3-4 weeks of consistant performances instead up and down each week.

I agree with this 100% Against the Eagles,we go man on man all over the ground so that we have 18 one on one contests across the ground. Every player should be at Etihad watching the Roos/Cats game to see what it takes over 4 quarters.

This is not a CEO problem,we have the worst list in the comp that plays with no confidence or heart. From what we've been through the last 3 years,i think Schabby has done a good job with debt,sponsors etc.

Neeld will go as no coach has brought a team out of this before,that I can remember. The biggest problem is our players played with no heart under Daniher and Bailey and they will do it to the next coach,100% guaranteed!

I've never seen a team come out of this with the same coach,the coach will go,it's just when now.This zoning game doesn't work with a team like ours.The only way a team like us can play football is when the opposition have the ball,it's man on man all over the ground so they have to kick to a 50-50 contest and we create a spoil at worst and our crumbers fight at ground level. Last week against Port and tonight,they kicked to unmanned team mates all over the ground and there was no pressure at all. Like I said,the coach will go,i've never seen a coach bring a team out of this ever,it won't happen. Gary,can you choose our 3rd coach,preferably someone with experience.Even Rocket Eade would have us playing a better brand of footy.

Stef Martin isn't a great footballer,we know that but he's BETTER than Sellar and Pederson. Ask 17 other AFL coaches which of the 3 they'd take if they had to and I reckon 15 would take Martin out of those 3 and we just gave him away and pick up those 2 spuds.

So we're down 500k for Tanking Sacking Neeld and paying him out would cost another 1.2M Bringing in another coach would cost 5-600K Hmmm,are the members up for another 5 years of DEBT DEEMOLITION? Put every player on our list on $200 per disposal and $300 per tackle and see how desperate they become.

Yes we did and I said it in October. What we need right now is hard,tough inside mids giving it off to classy wingers coming in off the square like Toumpas and Trengove. I'd take Viney/Wines over Trengove/Toumpas any day,and in a good team you need both but i'm just answering the question. Getting the ball is where is starts,feeding it out to classy wingmen to distribute to our forwards is secondary and if you don't win the ball first,you can't distribute it.

When you bring in average players,expect average results! N.Jones was tagged by Cornes but Cornes killed him the other way.Jones,when you get tagged,you are responsible for your opponent,I was at the Suns-Saints game last night and when the Saints had the ball,Ablett was shoulder to shoulder with Sam Gilbert,his tag for most of the night. We still don't man up when the oppositition have the ball and with that,you won't win a game of football ever.Port kicked the ball to unmanned teammates all day resulting in easy goals.I was disgusted when Frawley wouldn't chase-couldn't be bothered. The recycled player experiment will be a failure on Michael Voss proportions. The absolute bottom line is we don't work hard enough when we don't have the ball.The only way this MIGHT be rectified is recognise the worst offenders and send them to Casey for 3-4 weeks and keep doing that all year if that's what it takes.Sooner or later,we will learn which players will bust their arse when they don't have the ball and the ones that don't can play the rest of the year in the VFL,because their work ethic is nowhere near AFL standard. Sam Blease should never start as sub again,he came on and had more disposals than 4 team mates that played full games and showed more desperation than most. To only lay 54 tackles when we had so much less of the ball is a DISGRACE,that number tells me everything I need to know about our application & attitude. If nothing changes,Bombers and West Coast will hammer us by 100 points and maybe even the Giants in Round 4. I was on such a high watching the Suns beat the Saints at Metricon last night and now it doesn't get much lower.

Great report RR,i was also at the game and in my report last night,i stated that when Ablett,Swallow,Hunt ,Jaeger,Rischitelli and Matera got going we had no answers and our midfield will struggle all year.I agree Toumpas isn't ready yet and should spend time at Casey.He looks good in space with with disposal but so do 90% of AFL players.He'll struggle early racking up enough numbers. Everyone keeps saying we had our spine out,but the biggest problem we'll have this year and in 2014 is our midfield.We only have one quality mid in Jones,but you put Jones in Collingwood or West Coast's midfield and he'd be ranked about no. 6-7 and we don't have the support he needs.We will lose the midfield battle in 80% of games this year and our backline will once again be under enormous pressure and our Clark & Dawes won't get enough supply. So yes,we have an improving spine but our midfield will keep us bottom 2-3 this year.

Just back from the game and i'm very disappointed with our lack of intensity 2 weeks out from round 1,where if we bring the same attitude,Port will smash us by 10+ goals.It was 28 degrees all game and our players just didn't look interested.We got off to a good enough start,leading 21-7,then the Suns as I expected dominated the midfield with Ablett,Swallow,Hunt,O'Meara,Rischitelli and Matera taking control,lucky Harley Bennell didn't play.Our midfield can't stand up to that. In the second quarter,we had the ball on half back flank and we kicked sideways for 3 minutes and Hogan was one out at Centre half forward with no other players within 40 metres and we wouldn't kick it to him one out,GIVE THE KID A BLOODY CHANCE FFS!!! What happens next,turnover.Our gameplan was poor all day and Neeld was easily outcoached by McKenna and the Suns have far superior footskills. Strauss was yelling at Toumpas for being out positioned in our zone set up.Byrnes kicking was appalling,kicking out on the full and missing targets all day.Gillies tried hard but won't cover Rivers.Rodan is a livewire but doesn't have a great defensive side,Howe was quiet as was Col. God,i wish Hogan could play this year like all the other 18 year olds!
