CHANGES: Rd 14 vs St Kilda
He's contracted for another year and won't be released early from his contract due to financial and his impact, culturally, on the group.

CHANGES: Rd 14 vs St Kilda
Funnily enough, Richo is Bedford's biggest supporter and a huge influence in the reason he was selected in Round 1.

I would love to see Bedford this week ?

CHANGES: Rd 14 vs St Kilda
I don't think he should be dropped, as I don't see a better medium forward option below him. Many would say this is the most difficult role in the team. Some performances have been down but particularly liked his game against the Pies. His on-field leadership has been good. He plays with intensity and his voice/instruction is currently the best we have in the forward line. I'd say his leadership internally is judged on what he does during the week. Elite habits, trainer and much loved team mate by young and old.

CHANGES: Rd 14 vs St Kilda
Zero chance of Melksham being dropped. Josh Wagner could be an interesting option.

The 2020 Trade Period
You know more about him than I but sounds positive. I don't think there is much else on the trade agenda.

The 2020 Trade Period
Cedrick Cox from BL has been discussed internally. Probably not much in it but a name who was raised.

Where is Koladjashnij
It was an independent neurologist based on the Gold Coast. When a player has a couple of years out, people tend to forget the talent of a player. KK can seriously play, a runner up Best & Fairest winner.
-
Where is Koladjashnij
There was a school of thought that the root cause of KK's concussions had been found, something to do with the neck. It's risk/reward and the club backed themselves to strengthen the neck muscle etc etc. The same thing could have been said for Gus Brayshaw in 2017. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Where is Koladjashnij
He's with the squad and doing forms of Rehab after recently quarantining on the Gold Coast. Extremely conservative approach which is currently centred around his long term health, rather than his long term footballing future. There is hope. Goody quite likes him.

How the Reserves are Tracking
Bedford has had quite the fall from grace after an excellent pre-season, round 1 start and a decent game. To my knowledge, he's not been named Emergency and hasn't genuinely come into the selection discussion despite some forward line injuries.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
In what sense has Tomlinson "struggled" as a key defender? Has he bad a bag kicked on him or been thoroughly beaten? I haven't seen it. Furthermore, Langdon aside, he's the only MFC player I see regularly receive the ball with some space ahead of him. Stays in the team for mine.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Tom Sparrow has been called up. Not good news for a popular long time Dee.

Glen Bartlett Appreciation Thread
It is, to me, no coincidence that the turn around in this football club has come since this man came on board as Pres. He isn't a strong media player and thus hasn't received the plaudits he is due. We are quick to acknowledge PJ's efforts, however, this man shouldn't be forgotten in providing strong leadership and solidarity for the MFC. Long live the Pres.

Jimmy Toumpas
Toumpas will be a weapon when we have a forward structure. He'll never be a line breaker but we'll be able to count on him showing the composure to hit a target. Toumpas will thrive on the improvement of Viney & Grimes as key extractors.

Josh Caddy
I'm all for a Mitch Clark style play at Caddy. Offering up something like $250K per season would not represent value of his current commodity but would be a calculated risk to ensure we get him with likelihood he'll develop into a 250K plus player.

Would you expect any different?

Jack Watts
Watts will be a strong marking Centre Half Forward, but will learn the trade as floating Forward Flank and Winger.
