  1. It took a fair bit of convincing to keep Chaplin for 2026. I'm sure working under a coach with a very different skillset to Goody has to be good for his development. He is definitely in the next 5 or so for a senior coaching role, I just hope he doesn't feel he needs some experience in a different environment to solidify that.
  2. Chandler Turner Kozzy Langdon Steele Langford Howes Good to be recognising some of the lesser lights
  3. Couldn’t agree more and if you do take a mark 30 or so out, you have to finish your work. Does he have the ticker to correct it in the second half?
  4. A lot of comments about Steele and Viney can’t be in the same midfield - I beg to differ and am excited to see two bulls who will crack in to win the footy.
  5. I’ve mentioned about Riv plenty
  6. We have to persist with Windsor as a midfielder. His upside is high and his effort can’t be faulted. It’s on the staff and on-field leaders to coach him through increasing his production. Improving running patterns, finding an uncontested touch to get him in the game, taking a step to balance before he kicks. He has all the tools and has played a couple of strong games in a tough position. I’m backing the kid in 💪
  7. Zurich are no angels but Emirates who are currently operating at half capacity with expected huge losses (albeit probably underwritten by gov.) and dirty bird don't appeal to me that greatly.
  8. Was this on Channel 7 Agenda program?
  9. Fancy blowing the morality whistle to Tom Morris who was sacked by Fox Sports for gross and indecent conduct. That’s all I’ll say on this matter.
  10. He was omitted but the injury played a part in him not being able to perform at the level
  11. Who is saying it? They know nothing. Couldn’t be further from the truth. His had a knee complaint since just after Christmas that he wanted to manage whilst training/ playing. The club supported him with this. It came to the point in the Freo game where he wasn’t able to run at high speed over distance (a key metric for King) during our transitions. The club have a plan in place which involves him de-loading to manage the inflammation around the knee. Trent is fine with the plan. If the knee is still settled after 2 x training sessions this week, he will come back in.
  12. The phrase King uses for this is ‘take what the game gives you’ and it means you can pull any kick if that’s the available option rather than having to play in any set way. A identify-able way of playing already visible. Special coach we have on our hands.
  13. There will be a spot in the defensive rotation on the basis of Petty playing a little more as a backup ruck/ swing than genuine lock down.
  14. Very important to play Rivers here. Two weeks for the knee to settle is nice and an obvious reason he didn’t play at Casey. I’ve heard the inflammation has come right down. He’s a talent who has been loyal and he deserves to slot back in for Laurie.
  15. Steele Gawn Koz Sparrow Sharp Howes
  16. Max Heath was colossus. I can see him replacing Gawn and doing it well. The key forwards were all lively, playing different type roles. You wouldn’t begrudge match committee for recalling either of Johnson, Kentfield or Jefferson. Adam’s just doesn’t have it for me, unfortunately. No stand out feature in his kitbag. Early days but Onley looks a mile off the level. Seems timid despite having such a great athletic body for the modern midfield game.
  17. You’re right across all the latest mainstream and not @dazzledavey36 Much appreciated!
  18. This is the point I’m making. Betsy are running an agenda for the MRC who we need to have on board and it’s the tunnel that is the issue.
  19. Salem’s defensive hardness has never been his one- wood. It’s just a little more exposed for the lack of small backs that we have currently. His field kicking, kick ins, defensive positioning and transition work outweigh the odd poor defensive effort.
  20. It isn’t droppable. Paddy was given a specific role to execute and he did. Coaches are looking less at stats (Rivers as an example) and more at players ability to play within a system.
  21. That was strange commentary from Lyon because Steele has never been a heavier mid. He isn’t quick so perhaps this gives the sense that he’s heavier but his physique is lean.
  22. The private side rooms at Circus, Turbo and Glamarama have missed Clarry over the last few months.
  23. He went to Cripps at stoppage in the first quarter. The coaching staff quickly realised this was causing an in-balance around the footy. They moved Kolt to the backline to replace Jiath and Sparrow came into the middle/CBA's.
  24. Viv Michie
  25. Glad to see you know more than the rest of us
