Aside from being a good player, Beamer was one of the only modern-era players I felt had the same love for the club and guernsey as we the supporters do.

Not every player thrives from being smashed on the track.

Having Jamar & Gawn rotate through the forward line will be a big positive. Takes a key back and eases the pressure on Clark.

Bail has elite fitness and spread. Improve his kicking and decision making he'll be fine.

Next years membership figures will be a real tale of truth. Coming into this season, there was still an air of optimism around the club's supporters and thus membership numbers didn't particularly decline. Next season will probably be a year of no finals chance so we'll see where we lie in 6 months or so.

Sad that Clark for his ten or so games is still in fourth.

His been very good in alot of the final 10 games - the consistency is almost there. We've been saying it for years but another Pre-season (A Neeld/Misson pre-season) should see him become an elite player next season.

Got alot of respect for Mitch with the regular fan interraction and giveaway. He's obviously very passionate about Melbourne too. Worth every cent so far.

Was in the rooms after the game Saturday and noticed Col was the first to leave, probably only 20 minutes after the siren. False alarm though, Mr.Schwab informed me all the players were headed to AAMI park for recovery.

I'm all for a Mitch Clark style play at Caddy. Offering up something like $250K per season would not represent value of his current commodity but would be a calculated risk to ensure we get him with likelihood he'll develop into a 250K plus player.

Out: Bennell, Grimes, Bate, Jamar. In: Jetta, Moloney, Gysberts, Fitzpatrick. IMO, no match-up for Sellar unless Garland is sent forward again.

Re: Strauss kicking, I think it's good. In the first three, he hit targets and unlike many of our players can kick with low trajectory.

I don't think he'll be dropped, I believe it will be Magner.

Bail will be fine. Elite runner, good spread, hard at it. Get his skills right, he'll be a good player.

He's a ruckman who can pinch hit forward. Mitch Clark was a forward who was forced to ruck due to injury. We have Jamar on a three year deal with Gawn, Fitzpatrick for development. End of.

FWIW, what sort of wage would Boak command? 500k?

We have absoloutely no chance of getting Cloke.

If you look at yesterday's forward line - Not one of them is a genuine forward. Rivers, Garland, Magner, Howe, Tapscott, Sylvia, Martin. Players who were previously forwards in Bate, Dunn & Watts played elsewhere. I think it comes back to poor drafting.

Will Green be ready to go? Certain starter for me. Out of form this season yes, but to good of a player to be left out.

The way I see it we need a cull as of now, not the end of the season. Neeld faces a decision - Continue to accept the years of mediocrity from Dunn, Morton Bate, Davey and to an extent Spencer and Bennell or get valuable game time into Tapscott, Strauss, Tynan, Cook and Taggart who will probably become better players longer-term.

Haven't seen much of his footy but the two things that come across from the article I just read are his maturity in the media and his already afl style cut physique.
