I agree the President appointment is the first sign that the MFC has got some sort of 'process' together.... What is the schedule and timeframe on this??? I pressume the sooner the better.... Is it the situation of a poisoned chalice which no one wants to drink and anyone who do wants to drink we are immediately suspicious of?? It would be good at have a couple of serious candidates...I am not sure how serious the "eyebrows" is. (BTW - how can you grow eyebrows so long in this day an age? Last time I was at the hairdresser they gave it to me for not getting even just a slight trim...)

I am in the same boat. Williams' "nutter" credentials are the greatest concern and worthy of review. The tie strangle incident at the 04GF revealed more about his personal character and drive than most would believe. Is there method to his madness that can change and get us to the podium again? Plodders can only take you so far in any endeavour Their skill set must match the task.... this runs through all levels of the club organization... This is about recognizing weaknesses and not allowing people to do things they arent qualified to do. With Garry the problem was still partly his but blame could also be apportioned to lack of club professionalism

There is no point MFC getting more draft pick concessions....they'll stuff it up. How bout giving the picks to someone like GFC, HFC, West Coast, Sydney etc.... who have the infrastructure and common sense skills to choose good players... then let them develop them for 2 years... before finally sending them straight to the MFC after they have proven AFL ability/potential yet still young Call these draft picks+development concessions relevant for the new free agency era. Im sure the rest of the competition would agree to this ...then we could finally once and all conclude that the coach is a dud or not ...without other possible causes eg bad players or bad club culture blahblah

Garry Lyon having a dig at the board now.... Pity he made the decisions and avoided the responsibility, now gladly wearing his reporters hat based on input from Well respected Caro. Neeld is lucky PJ stepped in when he did. It would look pretty knee-jerk for PJ to swing the axe after 4 weeks. I like it that he takes the time to go through things properly making sure he keeps what he likes and discards the rest. This takes more time than 4 weeks as it involves a bit of planning to secure the good things are around/accounted for when the axe falls. Not everything should be thrown at once or else it will be a rebuild of a rebuild of a rebuild (rumsfeld style) So it is up to Neeld to show the progress over the next 4-5 weeks before real changes occur.

its just another great opportunity for the boys to learn from the best ..... and get slaughtered for the priviledge its all about game time...
