Not sure how useful Pedersen will be for us, but I thought his game yesterday was ok and his best for us so far. He also was prepared to run hard and on a couple of occasions did just that to the team's benefit. I also noticed as Scoop Jnr pointed out, his failure to run through Cloke, but on reflection that may be put down to the penalties for charging. On the other hand, simply, that he was too scared to do it, I don't know. I see him as a handy replacement for injured players, who has some versatility to his game. From what I have seen so far of Gillies, Rodan and Byrnes, Pedersen when compared to them is Wayne Carey.

Agree. He just needs to play a number of consecutive games and get his confidence up. It is tough when you are playing and thinking, " oh sh-t if I drop this mark I will be back at Casey". Give our younger players a run of games to get their confidence up and some valuable experience. That is probably all we can offer to therm for the rest of this season. BTW, I think he will make it.

You don't really fire yourself when you are an honorary board member, you just walk away. You generally do that because you are sick and tired of being burned by the media and supporters. You think you should probably have kept all of the money you have donated to the club and then probably don't donate anymore, because of the way you were treated for trying to help. Alternatively you get beaten in an election.

Disagree on Byrnes. Doesn't use the ball well, is slow, adds nothing and will soon be gone. Play a Taggert or anyone else with a future. JV might be ok to play.
-
Whatever the reason, it is the thing that most of us have banged on about for the last few years. We get the ball, but can't use it to AFL Standard and as a result you get smashed on the turnover in the modern game.Is it skill, game plan or development. I don't think it is development. It IMO is skill. Yes you could say we are not sure of the game plan, but that is not the reason you miss kick 20 metres to a team mate or you handball to a player standing still, with an opponent next to him. IMO we simply can' t execute basic disposal. We have drafted non skilled footballers. Someone posted that they attended training recently with some media people and they all agreed that our training and skill levels were the worst they had seen.

I know how you feel, I was at the game.

As we near 200 pages and 5000 posts, I think, for only a second, we should reflect on the post MFC career of that person, on Ablett like money up West of Sydney. Saturday, another typical day at the office, 13 possies at 60% effectiveness. Oh well back to bananas.

We have finished quite a few careers already.

Moving on.

No that was Kennett the cocky. BTW Mrs. Redleg is not amused.

Today 's Australian says we are looking at AFL man Matthew Drain as the head of football. He has wide experience at several clubs and in a number of different roles. He would also probably have the AFL 's blessing bringing us closer to much needed financial and draft assistance.
-
Good idea, we use the Hawks membership numbers rort. Yes we sign up our Alpacas, budgies, turtles, hamsters etc and suddenly we are a major club again. Sponsors will see us worthy of of their sponsorship dollars with our huge data base. The AFL will once again see us as the major club we once were. I will even join up my pet cockatoo with the loud screechy voice, who we named Kennett.
-
See, when we all put out heads together we can come up with these great ideas to save the club.

CS never was able to implement his Red and Blueprint. We should be able to implement my Blue and Redprint. It is far simpler and doesn't dwell on our history.

I think we need to change the MCG seats to banana lounges. We will steer away from pies and chips and sell banana fritters, banana splits, banana bread and cake, banana mousse, duck a la banana sandwiches and washed down with those healthy banana smoothies. I will get the trumpeter to play the banana boat song and have the bananas in pyjamas selling raffle tickets at the games.Every new member will get a free banana . I will get this club moving again.

Do you reckon I will get a gong for being MFC President?
-
I can. Brogan will retire and they have only Giles left. Jamar would be a big get for them as I can't see them getting Leuenberger, who they want. Gawn, Spencer, Fitzy in the ruck with Sellar and Pedersen pinch hitting and maybe with Mitch for a few minutes here and there. Also we could rookie another young ruckman.

I just noted that he was continually being asked whether the Saints are rebuilding and he finally admitted they were. That of course only happens, when you are at the wrong end of the ladder.
-
Agree. That is where we are and what we have to do though.
-
Scott Watters now has finally used the dreaded "rebuild" word, in respect to the Saints who sit just above us on the ladder.
-
Maybe Kennett could stand for President of the Burwood chapter of the Australian Alpaca Association.

Just back from training. Players looked ok. Spoke to Jack Grimes who should be right after next 3 games. Met Longsuffering, Saty, Rusty and Nineteen. Spoke to Jack Grimes dad Steve and there is another brother coming through. He said Dylan would love to play with Jack at the Dees if the Tigers ever let him go. He is however happy at the Tigers. Spoke to Josh Mahoney who impressed the need for Dees fans to come to the game. Hopefully we get a decent crowd. At least it will be a nice day.
