Next AFL Shafting
AFL looking at giving the Roos the whole of NT as their recruiting area. After being the Alice Springs club, that could be wasted now.

Steven May staging fine
I think we are generally in agreement. A big club player gets off scott free, while a smaller club player, for a similar act, gets vilified and humiliated by the media for days and then fined by the MRO. The MRO is of course a former player of the same club as the player he let off and let off by him not for the first time. We all agree with that.

Steven May staging fine
The rules were changed after that incident. We are comparing May to Maynard which was worse and more acting over May just putting hands on head for a second. Maynard stayed down holding his head. It got a player sanctioned and drew an unwarranted free. May is sanctioned, humiliated by the media and called a cheat by a senior journalist. Maynard cops nothing from the MRO or the media and is home laughing again.

Steven May staging fine
Well clearly the AFL, as they have an ex Pies player as the MRO, who refuses to penalise Pies players. For Maynard to escape a staging fine after May the week before is simply disgraceful. He acted far more than May, yet escapes any sanction. He is hit with an open hand to the left shoulder and goes down like he was shot and then grabs his head and keeps holding it as he lays on the ground. He staged for a free and yet it is ignored by the MRO. The media go quiet on it because they are the AFL lackies. The AFL is just a joke these days, that isn’t even funny.

I pick corrupt.

Steven May staging fine
He was being sarcastic and saying if Maynard was that hurt, it must have been an almighty blow and therefore it should carry a suspension.

Wish we did, Gus would still be playing for us.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Northern Bullants
Give him time. I would rather have a long term key forward than a nqr depth mid.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Northern Bullants
I only saw second half of Casey, did anybody who saw the first half see anything from Kentfield. I know it’s only his second game and he will need an AFL pre season, but he was playing WAFL, which should be about VFL level and I didn’t see him touch it in the second half. Just interested and I know he will need time.

Absolutely nothing.

NON-MFC: Round 16
What do you really think about him? Now if Robbo is consistent he will call Maynard a cheat. What are the odds of that? Will we see it replayed 100 times this weekend like when they hung May out to dry? Come on Buckley call for his suspension.

Standard of Umpiring
Clarkson has just roasted the umpires and effectively Weightman, for allowing milking of nothing incidents, resulting in soft goals.
-
Standard of Umpiring
Yes it did. Joe kicked it off the ground, after all our defenders had gone forward, due to them seeing May mark it.

Hope she had a good feed.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Northern Bullants
Didn't see him the last 10 minutes. Think he is ok.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Northern Bullants
At least we know which club Casey are aligned to, 6-14 at 3/4 time.

Use of the sub
When 12 goals up with 5 minutes to go there would have been no problem.
-
22 and Under
Just needs to get used to the pace of AFL and get games experience and he will be handy.

Trade Targets
Bowey regaining form, AMW and maybe Woey might solve that.

Use of the sub
Agree. Hardly see the tactical sub use from him. I still think JJ never got over not getting on the ground in the 21 flag when team mates like Harmes were happy to come off to give him a run. I thought that was very poor from the Coach and then when he was often a sub, it caused him to leave. I think we win last night with JJ stopping one of the Lions’ mids. Spilt milk now.
