Issac Heeney Tribunal Disgrace
I agree. If he was Cripps or Daicos he wins. Webster went low and Heeney appears to try and push away his arm, as he said in his evidence. It’s a light blow and he doesn’t deserve to be put out of a Brownlow for a light blow that was never, ever, an offence when the Brownlow was first awarded. Modern offences should be re classified as to whether they constitute being unfair as per the Brownlow criteria. What happened to the “ good guy “ defence?

Oscar Allan
I am not saying he wouldn’t be great for us, but just can’t believe it will happen and therefore I am looking internally to evaluate what we already have.

I repeat, Jeffo’s improving and imo Verrall will make it as a big key forward and back up ruck. We need elite inside and outside mids.

The 'Mouse Pack'
Have we seen any bits of cheese lying around Gosch's or Casey?

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Brisbane Lions
The guy is an idi-t and frankly quite nauseating.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Brisbane Lions
Takes a nice mark and kicks a good goal after running to make position from CHB.

It looks like KFW is starting to learn the ruck game. Would like to see him after a solid pre season in the gym. Not writing this kid off.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs West Coast
Reid very often goes the Dusty fend off and we should be ready for it. The grabbing of his wrist and pulling it towards you, is possibly the best thing to do in this case, as it throws him off balance, stops him running away and forces a quick kick if he can manage it or htb or a ball up. All of which are better than him fending off and running away.

He is less chance than Fullarton.

This is not a good sign for Fullarton. We had our tallest forward out injured and the FD went instead with a 186cm forward, back after nearly a year out injured, without a Casey game, in preference to Fullarton, who is about 200cms and was traded in as a back up ruck/forward. Playing Fullarton would have allowed JVR to play solely forward and that would have been helpful to his game imo. There is no doubt that Melk is a better player than Fullarton, but we obviously didn’t go horses for courses. I am not arguing about the selection, but rather pointing out that Fullarton will struggle to get a game while Max is playing.

Just for the record I am not advocating for Sheldrick or Robertson particularly, but rather players who could help us that aren’t getting a game regularly because of star studded midfields.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
I am a fan of Jeffo and have stuck fat. The decisions for the FD are probably is there a spot atm, is he ready to go at senior level, would a poor debut hurt him mentally and set him back and is he better than others available, or more deserving of an opportunity. Fullarton played in a final against us, plus other senior games, did ok and yet hasn’t got a game with us yet. Maybe this week will be his first. I am sure we have spoken to Jeffo about his progress many times and hopefully he is on board. Maybe he gets a game later or maybe another pre season is needed. Whatever, I am hopeful he will make it and when he comes in, he stays in, rather than being not ready and disappointing and setting him back.

Nailed it. Mine is GC.

While Sheldrick and Robertson might be a bit small, they are talented. Sometimes these sort of players are good gets, as they are just being kept out of their senior sides by exceptional players who are ungettable anyway and these guys can be just a little, or more perhaps, behind the stars. There is no doubt the Swans and Lions midfields are excellent. These sorts of guys often have a bit to prove and can be very good players for another club. They would not be expensive trades either. We certainly need a few more mids, that is fact. A back up ruck is another need. If Petty stays, I think we will be ok for key position players, as he can return to the backline when May finishes and we have upcoming key forwards and backs and can get more over the journey.

Think he has one more year in contract and is best mates with Blake Howes. Just saying.
