  1. If that rumored $17m for 10 years offer is true and and to come home and he is knocking it back for $4m over 4 years, wow, just wow.
  2. We are talking about a 3-4 day extension and given a big club is in the same boat and the situation is patently and obviously unequal, I think we are a real chance to grab a replacement. As I said in an earlier post, don’t ask don’t get.
  3. So the clubs are adopting my suggestion/proposal. As I said, it is totally unfair for some clubs to be playing their match sims after the SSP period closed, while others played earlier. All clubs should be treated the same and all play earlier or later. I think all clubs have now played their match sims, so what is so bad with extending the SSP to say Tuesday, 4 days longer.
  4. That is going too far, because we simply don’t know. He may develop or he may not, but he hasn’t had the chance to do that yet. He deserves his chance and he will get it and good luck to him.
  5. Kentfield told GW he would be out for a long time. He is getting over a potential life threatening illness. Is that a good enough insight, straight from the horses mouth. I am unsure if he will play Reserves this year, but I know he won’t play AFL this year. It would have taken the pressure off him too, which would help him. We now have a few out for the year and several on long term injuries. I would definitely ask the AFL to replace AMW.
  6. What is patently unfair, is having some clubs play games after the SPP period ends, while others don't. It should be the same for all. End the SSP after all match sims, or before them, but not in the middle. Everyone knows contact sport is a higher risk of injury than just training. I hope he is fine, but if AMW is out for the year, we should be asking the AFL to be able to replace him. They already dudded us last year, medically retiring Gus a few days after the SSP period ended and not letting us replace him then.
  7. Someone said Adams did well, but I didn’t really notice him. Thoughts?
  8. Don’t ask, don’t get. Do you think Blues, Pies, Cats etc would ask the question. Anyway, hopefully AMW is not badly injured and we don’t need to worry about it.
  9. I can't remember the last time we entered a season with a healthy list. Hope AMW only has a strain. The initial reaction didn't look good however. If it is season ending, I would be approaching the AFL to replace him, as it is unfair that the SSP end was in the middle of a round of match sims. All sims should be completed before the cut off date, or none of them. There is obviously more chance of injury in contact games, than training.
  10. I am still in favour of moving Kentfield to the inactive list and taking Jai or Roy, probably Jai. Kentfield will not play for quite a while and certainly not at AFL level this year. Take the pressure off him and let him train and be with the boys, knowing while he is not ready, he isn’t keeping another player off the list. When ready, he can play at Casey or a lower competition, for the few games left in the season. I think we will lose Jai in the msd, if we don’t take him now.
  11. That could be a good get WJ. 34 of course remains waiting for next National Draft.
  12. Well that could be a reason, but I think he is still a chance, depending on how the club sees the best way for Kentfield to use this season. If they move him to the LTI, that may open up a spot and still allow Luker to play a few games with Casey, once he gets fit later in the season. That would take a lot of pressure off him and allow us to add a player who is ready to play, straight away.
  13. Culley must still be a chance, if Kentfield goes on LTI list, to keep the pressure off him and still maybe allow him late in the season to play some footy with Casey, or in a lower competition.
  14. We are owed, after Gus was medically retired by the AFL days after the SSP closed. Not that that means much.
  15. Added to my favourite posts list.
  16. GW has advised in the training thread that Kentfield is back at training, saying he loves living in Melbourne, but clearly a long way from being match fit due to his illness. He is obviously not going to play AFL this year, due to the amount of talls and his illness. Maybe to take the pressure off, we LTI him and if and when ready, he resumes at Casey. With McAdam in a similar position, we hopefully can add 2 players this week. We already have Kolt and Judd out for an extended period and we need depth to be maintained.
  17. Coach has already done that and Footy Manager too.
  18. Isn’t Pert still completing this project? If there were updates the club can provide them.
  19. This injury is simply bad luck, no blame whatsoever on Shane, who was really impressive this pre season. Terrible luck for him. Wish him the best. He is probably in a bad head space atm I would imagine. Club will wrap its arms around him.
  20. You know what would trump that, Kozzie signing an extension.
  21. Great post GW, I started to breathe again.
  22. Freo also have his Brother in Law.
  23. At 194cms and versatile he would be a good addition to our list. He can also kick a goal.
  24. Look at the coincidences, Kozzie’s brother in law and now cousin put on the Dockers list, in one off season.
  25. You are aware that people seeing the same incident, often give different descriptions of it. That is a fact, as proved in Courts and Tests thousands of times. Some people see parts of an incident that others miss, or simply mistake what they saw. Maybe we can leave GW alone and just appreciate her contributions, without constant attacks for innocent variations of what might or might not have occurred at training. Surely the important fact is how long Judd will miss, not how he left the training track.
