    I accept the Kozzie suspension, but not Toby Greene smashing a player’s head into the ground, after he got rid of the ball and no penalty at all. Which had more potential to cause an injury? System is f…ed.

    I don’t know if Kozzie can get off, probably not, but Toby Greene’s smashing of Mac Andrew’s head into the turf, after he had gotten rid of the footy, was far, far worse and dangerous and had the very real possibility of causing a serious injury. How the hell was he completely let off? The MRO, without any consistency of adjudicating, is little more than an embarrassing joke.

    Ralph changed his tune the other night and said Petty is more likely to stay now. One of them will be right.

    FWIW, he got votes on Sunday Footy show as their best player, who continued his very good game after the Kozzie bump.

    That is the worst kicking for goal I have seen from him, he is usually a pretty good kick for goal. I think he will be in our team next year.

    Also Cotterill was allowed to play on from a free and goal when Freo players stopped and then with a few minutes to go and Dockers up, they got a free, played on to the wing and ready to go in and score and umpire brought it back. Carlton then got dodgy decision and win it. Game turning decision.

    No, being tough is standing on a former teammate’s head, while he is defenceless lying on the ground. The 8 weeks he got for that disgusting act was not nearly enough. Dermie always has far too much to say and has verbal diarrhea.

    I am glad he didn’t initiate contact. There could have been a clash of heads and Clarry would have been suspended for choosing to bump. Take it to the bank. Smart move imo. Anyone questioning Clarry’s bravery is simply best ignored.

    Conversely some good ones also have bigger effects than others. I can think of three in my case. I chose my wife, my career and my football club and have loved all of them ever since. BTW the football club was chosen many years before the other two.

    I think you are right. We beat injuries, May, Viney and Clarry. We beat the 5 day break. We beat the fixture, both Adelaide teams in 5 days. We beat the crowds. We beat the umpires. We beat the AFL hope of an Adelaide win. It was a great win.

    As I said. Potential to injure is invoked. It is a meaningless phrase, used when needed by the AFL, to prove a case. You weren’t speeding driver, but you were driving a car and had the potential to speed and I am therefore charging you with speeding. It’s a nonsense. Did Pendles not hurt Neale, yet no potential to injure argument used to put him out. I don’t mind being dealt with for what you did, but not for what you actually didn’t. BTW, Soligo said today there was nothing in it. Just give Kozzie a week for what he did and don’t confuse it with bs about what he didn’t, but could have.

    I think he will get a week, but I notice some of the rules being discussed by posters and those rules allow it to be argued down to a fine. We will see what happens. The good thing is Soligo shrugged it off and continued to play well.

    No it wasnt. Meredith, Williamson and Fleer are very senior experienced umpires.

    Yes, but unlike where you actually knock out a bloke early in a final and end his career and get off, this light impact will see potential to injure invoked and he will cop a week. Kozzie is not a Pies player.
