  1. I hope that is not the result of one 50. He does look leaner.
  2. Would you be happy with another?
  3. Obviously I was discussing why you could take him and in the end, that I didn't think we would. Does that mean that I shouldn't be allowed to discuss it? PS. This whole thread is about something that probably won't happen.
  4. But it is only $600k per year with the first front loaded. If we take him and get him on a 5 year contract, the last 4 years are at $500k and he can be traded to say Carlton for a decent pick after the first. So you might in effect be paying $500k to get another first round pick or even a traded player. He becomes even more attractive to another club at 4 years x $500k. Then again Nev and Harley could make him want to stay with us. It probably is only one year of pain, but if you have salary cap room, so what. There are ways it can work for us. That said, we will pass on him, if GC don't match.
  5. That's because we are a destination club and have great medical and conditioning teams, that can get players back on the field.
  6. And good mids can also play/rest forward. TBH, it is nearly, the more good mids the merrier.
  7. Except that future 2nd and 3rd rounders next year, will be like 3rd and 4th rounders and the Blues will also rise a bit on the ladder. That is not a fair deal for Martin. If we had him we would want more. It is unfortunate for GC that principle will cost them and the Blues acted like predators. The concessions soften the blow for GC. Personally I hope the deal is a major bust for Carlton and I hope it affects the other players and that they all want more money. I would love to see the bottom side next year do the same to Carlton for one of their better players. Yes, I dislike Carlton more than any other club.
  8. Seeing those videos Dante posted reminds you of just how talented this bloke is. His ability to put the ball on the outside of his foot, for a great goal in heavy traffic and the goal from the boundary, 50 out, off 2 steps were just brilliant. This bloke will be pretty fresh in the body, having not played much footy for the last few years. There are only 2 things stopping him getting back to his best, his legs. If he gets fit and it probably is a big IF, we have got a beauty for nothing.
  9. Will leave after shaking Martin's hand at the PSD.
  10. If we wanted Green, as apparently GWS also do, why wouldn't GWS match? You would think he is better than any player they will get with 6?
  11. Why would you waste the advantage of pick 2 in the PSD. Surely you could organise a player to nominate for the PSD.
  12. Problem is they have front loaded $400k onto the first year to scare GC and us off. Not sure if he is a DFA or a RFA but if GC are allowed to match, I would laugh if they did and then see what happens. They could keep him for a year and then trade him, or delist him and get compo, either way being better off than losing him for nothing, as it currently stands. If he gets to the blue scum, nothing personal against him, but I hope it is a monumental bust.
  13. Well, someone will have to replace him in a year or so and Jordon could be the one. Jordon hasn't played a lot of footy and is getting better game by game. I could see him as a regular in 2021, when Jetta and Hibberd may be at the end, or gone. If we get Murray, he is another one who would be considered for the hbf.
  14. I think we actually agree.
  15. I am a fan of Jordon. I think he improved tremendously over 2019.
  16. I would rather get 2 top class players, than be greedy and get 3 lesser players.
  17. Or $800k, if Blues can afford it and they know we want him.
  18. No worries we all get excited with our team, Go Dees.
  19. I can see this won't stop until you think you have won. I said ok, in accepting what you replied, that you were just joking or being facetious. You read something completely different into my "ok". Hope you are "ok" with that.
  20. The Bombers will find out this year.
  21. The DFA period runs another 2 weeks, so why the hurry? Would imagine at the least, both parties are doing their due diligence.
  22. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I expect you are a professional in this field and have done an in depth analysis of the club's culture and that you have determined your conclusion on proper material and an extensive examination of all the aspects that make up a club's culture. It would on the other hand be disappointing, if your comment is just another BS throw away line, made just to denigrate the club and its personnel. That wouldn't be the case would it?
  23. Why would you have it running for 3 weeks, but have one day in the middle when it doesn’t ? What is that all about?
