  1. Not at all. Probably the view of fans of all the other clubs in the AFL.
  2. Absolutely.
  3. Isn’t Nicholls retired? Haven’t seen him all year.
  4. I agree with that. The club is in turmoil and landing a big fish Coach, who declared he wanted stability, could stop the Board challenges and pacify the members. I posted that Clarkson has to be the primary target and he said what you would expect him to say. However, Mitchell is there wanting the senior job, with the Hawks desperate to keep him and Clarkson has one year left and a President who would happily let him go and then install Mitchell in the job. Why would Buckley go mid year, unless they were worried they would miss their target, if they waited? That to me excludes Yze and any other untried Coach. Remember the other team who they hate across town, who may also be looking for a senior coach. If the word was out that the Blues were sounding Clarkson out, the Pies would be desperate to beat them to the punch. A similar scenario would exist if Clarkson was unavailable and then Lyon becomes the hot property. I think if the Pies were looking at an untried coach, Buckley would have stayed until the end of the season, as there would be no urgency. We will know soon enough.
  5. They did get a big forward in Spalding several years ago and he played well for them.
  6. Sounds like a late father/son pick if we want him. ( Meaning he won’t cost us a lot in terms of draft pick. )
  7. Don’t know much about him but worth a look. Is he not getting a run in Swans side? How has he played when he got in? One spot we can use is wing.
  8. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
  9. I had completely forgotten about VDB.
  10. Admire your confidence.
  11. I know that, I was only discussing Monday’s game.
  12. They will be very emotional and probably play out of their skins early. If we stay with them, then hopefully our fitness and game style will overpower them later in the game.
  13. Not this week.
  14. According to Mrs. Redleg, our most improved player. PS. Sorry for sounding like Hardwick.
  15. Then the coaches should instruct him to do that, if that is what they wanted. I think he basically did as instructed and assisted in 3 goals and could have kicked 2 more himself.
  16. Agree. Our forward entries were haphazard last night and he was contesting against several defenders, including one of the best Defenders in the game. Did you notice whose hands the Pickett goal off the front of the pack came from, it actually looked a set play? He is our only young key forward atm and has proved himself in a final and he just needs his confidence back and he will be fine. I recall the get rid of Tom Mac, Hunt, Spargo , Petty and Jordon ( who hadn’t played a game) calls and where are they playing now? I was one who wanted ANB gone and I was wrong. Yes he still makes mistakes but he has been a good contributor to our success. Put your hands up if you wanted Goody gone? We have one of the best talent finders ever in Taylor, who as my son mentioned last night, has most of his previous 3 years selections currently in the side. Together with guys like Choco, who know football talent, we are in good hands with our playing list. I trust them immensely and am wrapt they are with us. Too many on here judge too quickly and frankly, wrongly.
  17. Can we just extend Clarry and Tom Mac?
  18. He seems taller.
  19. Must be a high ankle if concussed.
  20. What was wrong with Langdon?
  21. Some of us know Pennant. My only post on the game day thread was stop Libba and we are a chance and Harmes was the obvious one. Thought Harmes was great.
  22. IMO the most important player to shut down is Libba, the main distributor. Stop him and the free flowing run from the clearance, that the Bulldogs thrive on, is greatly impacted.
  23. Parish is a good player, but comparing him to Clarry, seriously? Clarry is a one in a generation player. Dees fans should not underestimate him because he is ours, he is seriously brilliant.
  24. We need to cut down the outside run friday or it's curtains. Pressure. Pressure. Pressure.
