Does anyone else see anything peculiar about the DFA dates below? Delisted free agency windows Friday November 1 - Monday November 11 Wednesday November 13 - 5pm Friday November 22

Could you be a little more succinct. This is not a site for equivocation.
-
But any club can take him. He will want to know where he is playing. May not want to go interstate, to be a rookie.
-
I've rung the club and told them to hurry up for you. Unless another club announces it has him, he may just be deciding on an offer from us or another club. I don't think he will risk going as a rookie to any club and then having to get on a senior list.

We need to slow down training.
-
Won't be leaving soon, after our great season in 2020.
-
Thank you DemonOX, but I am happy to leave that title with our own great Ethan Tremblay and just provide some assistance to him here and there.

I fear this bird ( Martin ) has already flown.

Thank you Ernie and so eloquently stated, as befitting your journalistic artistry.

No, confirmed on the back page of the Sun today.

Live Pick Trading and Academy Bid Matching
Redleg replied to Pulp Fritschon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't see us switching 3, especially if we want Young. However we could switch 8 if we thought the player we wanted could be, or is gone then and we can get 2 other players we are nearly as happy to have with lower picks. It really is a chess game. I think the clubs know who each other wants, down to about the first 10 picks and after that it is a bit more speculative, for the next 10 or so picks. -
The problem is not spending the cap, it is telling our players we can only pay them so much, because of the cap and then offering a large amount to a player from another club. That breeds mistrust and disharmony.

Any houses fallen over yet?

-
So for those like Ernie and WJ who want to end this thread, it was the first to break this major piece of Footy News. Even Ethan T will acknowledge the far reaching news resources of Redleg and the thread. Long may this thread live and inform the world.

Him too.

We need to get this bloke back playing, as he was a very good player a few years ago.
-
Is this another Kysaiah Pickett thread?
-
No and thank you for the compliment Ernie. We don't need to close threads as if nobody reads them or posts them they get consigned to the lower pages of DL. Since I find it a sanctuary, from the constant personal attacks on posters who proffer a different opinion, on most other threads, it needs to remain, as a place where Demon fans can come and be entertained or voice their opinion, without fear of denigration. I am even in favour of football topics being discussed on here and here is one to start some discussion, among the illuminari of this wonderful thread. AVB and KK need to play a large number of games for us this year or they will be off the list at season's end. Also, I fail to understand why we kept the Wagners, who I don't see getting games this year and who are not as good as several of the DFA's available and many of the kids who are in the draft. Discuss away people.

He actually plays as a small, tall forward, not a tall, small forward.

I actually like jelly.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Redleg replied to olisik's topic in Melbourne Demons
That would probably mean losing the bloke we want at 8. Also Pickett could go before the 2nd pick we get, IF we actually wanted him. That is what they would have to weigh up. -
Serious staying power, he should be at Cup week.

Poll: Who do you want with our first two picks?
Redleg replied to furious d's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree if you could get the player at 7 you wanted at 3, but he will be gone. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Redleg replied to Tinks's topic in Melbourne Demons
The rule is designed to ensure fan discussion and media speculation on players in the cricket season, so that the AFL is front and centre year round. It has nothing to do with the efficient running of a sporting competition.
