  1. Back at you.
  2. And of course Baci, Berry, Bubblegum and Blueberry.
  3. He is apparently unhappy at North and is obviously not performing to his best. If we could get him at reasonable cost, that would be good. North wanted Lever to be the general down back. I would do that swap today.
  4. Long may it continue.
  5. Bedford plays every week for the Giants, he isn’t a fringe player.
  6. This is a fairly new non physical act penalty and all I am saying is that home and away games shouldn’t have the same weight as finals, when assessing penalty.
  7. He is 30, turns 31 in October.
  8. That is not correct. Are you seriously saying missing a game this week, plus all of the finals, is the same penalty as missing 5 home and away games? I suggest you speak to an AFL footballer and ask them would they rather miss 5 home and away games, or 1 home and away game plus a finals series. They are not the same punishment and why should Rankine get more than others. Just as a little add on, the previous penalty was where the extra insult of the word “f…ing” prefaced the homophobic word. Is that a worse slur, than Rankine used? Just asking, as the penalty should be for the actual offence. Another interesting fact is for physical acts, the effect on the victim is a factor, like concussion or injury. If the victim in this case is not gay and just laughed it off, should that be a factor? Just asking as a discussion point.
  9. None, but the medical reasons probably are about his current mental health state. We don’t know how this is affecting him. That’s what it’s probably about.
  10. Missing all the finals plus a home and away game, is worse than missing 5 home and away games to any footballer. They are different levels of penalty. I can’t see why people don’t understand that players value finals games far, far, far more than home and away games.
  11. Don’t think we can tip them out of the finals by beating them, but we could cause them to face an interstate elimination final.
  12. Jim Durnan a quiet guy who was as tough as nails.
  13. Well done Ghosty, keep up the good work.
  14. It was that disgusting that it reduced Petty to tears and had his team mates seeing blood.
  15. If Clarry goes, it appears the Cats are the only realistic option, as they wanted him and he likewise. Because of the contract involved, even they couldn’t afford both, so hope LJ is not an option for them.
  16. Pearce and Cox for starters. Will be an interesting watch.
  17. Treacy, Voss and Amiss so why would Dockers want Rooey?
  18. The Willie Rioli penalty is inexplicable. I wonder what most people on a footy field, or off it, would find more offensive, a homophobic slur, or a threat of severe violence? One gets a one game penalty and the other a whole finals series wiped out. How is that justified I wonder?
  19. If they make it in extra large, shouldn’t be a problem, as that would be a tent on Toby.
  20. That is quite possible, as given a full finals ban is far more than any other penalty given for the same offence to other players. I also wonder if previous “mistakes“ by umpires against the Crows in recent years, which cost them the chance of finals, is now surfacing in their thought process, giving rise to the victim mentality.
  21. Well clearly the AFL is against homophobia on the field, but not in society.
  22. Great news and hopefully the start of a run of good news items for the club. Given the comments of the MRC Chairman on the weekend, maybe the Training Base announcement is coming soon. A few more F/S names in the next few years will also be welcome. Also let’s not forget, Kalani has some younger brothers who may be good footballers in a few years.
  23. I haven’t the faintest idea, but my point is it is his career and he shouldn’t be criticised for working to his timetable and not ours ( the fans ). There will be a time when he will have to give an answer, but it is not yet. Of course like you I want him to stay, but I see no value in trying to guess the issues he is confronting and then criticising him over those guessed issues. I still believe he will stay. On another player we both care about and have supported from day one at the club, I am concerned with Jeffo and believe next year will be make or break for him and hopefully that is make. He has the talent and just needs to show it. He needs some more muscle and a bit more anger in his game I believe. A new more supportive/encouraging Coach, might be the making of him.
  24. Incorrect. He doesn’t have to do anything other than what he is doing. There will come a time when he has to state what he is doing, but it is not based on your impatience, or your lack of knowledge of what his concerns, if there are any, actually are.
  25. Apparently is unhappy at North under Clarkson, so that may be affecting his form, or he could even be playing to get traded.
