To beat the Pies without Neale, Payne, Coleman, Answerth, Doedee who hasn’t played and Hipwood while losing Berry early was a great effort.

I was adopting another poster’s suggestion and accept what you say, that it is not a deal that will happen. A player who dominates VFL games in the midfield, is the type of player teams with poor midfields would look at. Laurie is always in the best players for Casey. Are you saying Laurie is a dud no club would consider? I disagree.

Well a 33 year old, pretty banged up, 192 cm forward is not my first option as a tall forward. Another poster suggested McVee to the Eagles for Jobe Shanahan, in some sort of deal. Maybe we throw in Laurie, who would get a game in the Eagles midfield at the moment. I would do that deal.

That is fair enough, but he was going great in pre season and you can't blame him for an achilles tear. Why would he leave that role with the Cats to take it on with us, other a than heap more money, which I am not sure we have? He is regarded as the best development Coach in the AFL and if did come across with King, it would be a sensational get for us.
