  1. Nate Jones is not a 'warrior' or a 'good trier.' He is an elite midfielder and performs at a premium every game, considering there are normally 3 or 4 tags rotating on him, when our other midfielders don't have the fitness, intelligence or skills to block others off him. When we start winning games, Nathan Jones may yet finish top 3 or 4 in the Brownlow. He's amazing!
  2. EDFL beckons. The boy from Yarra was touted as being better than Harper, Moore, Blease and Young. Harper would be a target for me, Blease is lucky to be on our list, Moore has finally overcome injury to play well for Port and Young may still make it. Worse #11 ever!
  3. i've never heard of these blokes.
  4. Roos had a no fwit policy when recruiting for the Swans - why would he change that philosophy now?
  5. Oh, God, no! Our list is full of enough C graders and soft footballers. Please.
  6. stevethemanjordan, you playing?
  7. Swallow is Jack Viney Mark 2.......crazy good. Competitive beast who crunches contests. He'd be an amazing get.
  8. Agree. If there was a stat for 'rubber chest', Sellar would be #1.
  9. Strauss is one of those crossroad players (one of many) we have on our list. He ignites healthy debate on this forum and I'm solely in his corner. He's composed, pacy and breaks the lines. I think a Roos' regime will work for him.
  10. Runs like the wind. Beaten by Strauss, but towelled up Nicho. Good little player who ducks his head ala Ham, Shuey, Puopolo.....gets a free kick every time. Yes from me.
  11. The best one was against the Dogs where he was out of bounds and landed on concrete!!
  12. You said Brain Royal....see what you did there??
  13. All of the above.
  14. More deadwood gone.
  15. I think he should have gone with Neeld. Make a change, make it. No residual.
  16. Certainly Tom Boyd is touted as a once in a lifetime pick. Big dilemma if he falls to us. Having said that, GWS will most likely grab him.
  17. Anyone think Mitch Robinson is available? Or that Malthouse is not a fan? I don't think so!! EJ Holden......mmmm....
  18. I'm a swinging voter
  19. Who overruled it? Are you sure about that? If so, shocking decision.
  20. Btw, just picked up the quinella @ Bendigo. Stynes (1st) and Jimmy's Better (2nd) 5 clams @ 11.70. Giddy up!
  21. I'm not a recruiter. I watched Vines on Fox footy a couple of games and loved his work - he was always going to impact a contest in his first year. Plus, the boys (Jack and Ollie) were mates. I hope you're right about Jimmy....I'm even more hopeful that your last sentence comes to fruition.
  22. I think the moot point lies around the frustration of more 'development' players, when an 'impact' player was needed this year. The scars of Morton, Gysberts, Cook, et al, still run deep. It's a shame DD36 that you don't have the capacity to debate and squeal for a thread to be deleted because it doesn't suit you. I still maintain, to this day, that Jimmy T was a puzzling pick.
  23. Not my favourite player, but let's see what he can do for a couple of years with an experienced, successful practitioner at the helm.
