Dee Man , your wish will be granted! Green will blitz the Bluey this year. Not sure about All Aust as there is too much talent in the league right now. Greeny has been sensational this year . When Neita retired I didnt feel we had anyone on the list worthy of replacing him as Skipper. It`s yours now Greeny and thoroughly deserved when 2009 comes around

It is exciting to think there will be a couple of awesome kids drafted at years end. Jack Grimes will be ready next year and Marric might get a run this year if we are lucky just to give him a sniff. We are going to go from the second oldest list to possibly the youngest next year! bailey is only going to become a better coach along the way. Proud of our club after being kicked in the guts by Demitrou and the media. We have bottomed out and are on our way back folks. We will lose plenty more this year but we have a great future appearing before our eyes right now!

Dunny takes another scalp today! Simon Black had 20 odd touches but I reckon he had about 7 or 8 clangers today as he was under so much pressure. Black`s innefectiveness was one of the main reasons we won today. Nice job Lynden you are one of a number of young blokes who are slowly raising the bar!Bode should be rested, he had 5 touches I reckon and needs some confidence back at Sandy. 3 or 4 weeks now and no impact

About 10 minutes before the match I reckon there was less than 10000 at the G. It looked awful. I was thinking the same thing Bbub about the early start confusing some people.

I heard that too. With the likelihood of Warnock coming to Melbourne, PJ and Jamar improving weekly and the forgotten Meesen learning the ropes Watts may well be the man we need the most . A key forward!

Good post. It is going to be a very enjoyable final 8 weeks of footy. I can`t see us winning more than 4 games(there will be hell to pay if we win 5) but we are showing some terrific signs. It`s a very strange feeling being a Dees fan at the moment. If we win I am absolutely stoked. If we lose admirably I walk away supressing a smile also! We will finish bottom 3 no doubt about it and as much as I have had my heart on Natanui, I will be very happy with either him or Watts and if we finish 16th 15th or 14th we will most likely get to choose one of these guys anyway!

I too would have been quite content to go down by 2 goals aftera 4 quarter effort. With about 4 minutes to go after Brisbane had quicked a couple of quick ones to get in front you would almost expect the guys to drop their heads! It wasnt just a great win , it was the way they won it. Shame the membership drive is finished because efforts like this will bring the fence sitters jumping back on the wagon!

Terrific game Brad! Just presents himself beautifully in the forward line and is a far more confident as a go to man rather than a defender which he simply is not! Ripper mark to seal the game. You don`t see him take too many pack marks but that was inspirational.

Pj is getting better every week. If he can just stay injury free for the rest of the year it will be awesome to see him come along even further. That chase down will be shown several times to the players when they do their match review.

Bailey continues to impress me more and more. No one deserves to be in the leadership group more than Brad Green this year, and should have been there from thre start. The players voted the leadership group in this year and not surprisingly the old school culture of the club voted in Yze n Robbo which raised my eyebrows as well as many others. Moloney is a true Demon, sure he can`t get on the park but you can see the desire in him every time he is on the ground. The young blokes will be looking up to him already. Good news for Jared too. All the recent trade talk about him is out the door as this you would think is a statement that he will be involved for a long time to come, particularly for a bloke who will not play another game this year. Dont care if we lose every game this year.We have long passed bottoming out and are on our way , slowly, but very surely!!

Right on the money ST. Great call by Bailey. It`s a message to the playing group as a whole. Names and reputations mean nothing under Bailey whereas they did under Daniher. It`s also a message to Jamar. If he doesnt stand up in the next 3 weeks, he may well be gone as well come seasons end along with White

I hope he goes too but the hit on Selwood was much worse and he miraculously escaped a suspension yet again. Maybe , just maybe he gets a few points and he`ll cop the 1 week.

Drop Jeff White and give him a shot. There is nothing to lose. White had no impact again today.Jamar was possibly better and had more hit outs I believe. Why on earth did we trade for Meesen if we are not going to see what(if anything)he can do at AFL level.

A bloody good effort after being down by 5 goals in the blink of an eye. Swans are a very very good outfit and our boys had them a little worried for a while there. If Lynden Dunn kicked that goal early in the last it`s a 10 point ball game and all the momentum was ours. Again some positive signs. It looked like a 100 point buttkicking for a while , so despite another loss , overall a gutsy display against a possible top 2 team! Bato BOG, but I am rapt for PJ who is looking like the very good player that a lot of us believed he could be.

Its still a pretty big Points For and Against differential. Even if we beat them at the G later in the year they will probably still have a better percentage than us assuming they dont get too many more 100 point floggings. i reckon they will be very happy to finish bottom 2 and will gladly take either Natanui or Rich.

Fair dinkum there are some grumpy people around here with far too much time on their hands. Anyway, what was this thread about ? Oh, the Morton bro`s! Very impressed with both of Cale`s bros`s(Apologies in advance for the grammar). Didnt see the Tiges game y`day but that is a pretty impresive effort. saw the Hawks and I thought Morton was excellent. I can`t believe anyone would think an 18 yr old is a dud after 2 or 3 ordinary games. Cale is a gun, simple as that. He will fill out , get more than 10 bloody games under his belt and be a legend of the Melbourne Footy Club.

Could be that he is being told he has to put in the hard yards before getting a gig in the 1sts let alone the D`s and earn his spot!

Wonder if Cale is going to get sent to Sandy for a week or 2 to get some confidence up??

Was lucky enough to be wedged between 2 reasonably cool tiges fans this weekend but I have always rated them worse than Pies. last yr I sat in front of a classic looking loud, large and somewhat toothless wench and her equally feral bloke yelling at Picket every time he got the ball the he was an f`n drunk. Strangely enough they were both wasted!
