I dont reckon you have ever played football at any real standard. Anybody who denigrates a good ordinary footballer like that doesnt sound to me like he has any real dash.

I see two of the emergencies coming in. Holland and Moloney. If we are trying to win we need a solid body in the forward line whos likely to go frony and centre and take a mark. And we need to keep one of the only players we've got who can keep up with them. I see someone not making it from the forward line out of Robbo, Neiter or Newton. There are a whole shout of arguments for any of those to miss. I have to asume we are trying to win rather than just get the sour taste of defeat mingled with pithy posts of how its going to plan yada yada yada.... Again Wheatley seems to be sacred. From a perennial rovers point of view Im miffed (!) that Valenti isnt uploaded to help Jones. And while Im on it (Annies Lane), does any notice how Tadgh kennealy looks like this years model of Chris Judd?

Same Desert, Different tent.

The tigers will have both Punt Road and an outpost out past Broadmeadows as well.

The interview was a stern Bailey who re-iterated how he had trained them hard and to expect a turn around but the Journo (Rob Waters?) said the players were definitely dropped not injured.
-
Ten showed the interview with Bailey. They are adamant Moloney was dropped not injured. I was actually surprised he didnt drop his head last week and he played better than I gave him credit. But it is all relative! I still dont rate him as a real loss because he is easy to coach against, but my belief is that he will still play. Im still getting used to expecting nothing from the full forward. Dont forget we had nearly the same amount of inside 50's as hawthorn. Yes it does depend on the quality of the input, but it is definitely the forward line, and the dearth of any silver linings that has me worried the most. I would rather Robbo be given enough rope than have to watch someone swing in the breeze.

Would we have lost by 104 pts if Sheeds was coach?
Damo replied to tallstuey's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think we may have traded better for some players that would have been happier to play under Sheedy. One of his forte's is that he can get quality players to come and play for him. Would this be better in the long run? Maybe not. -
When was the last time anyone believed the injury update?

Anyone happy about the Tigers beating Chri$ Judd's mob?
Damo replied to Spirit of the Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I kept seeing Richo pleading to the umpire "Why have you forsaken me?". And then he arose as if from the dead. But Fair Dinkum how can anyone compare him with Robbie? (todays paper) Beware false prophets I reckon. -
I trust Francis Leach. He has integrity. i also think you should wait until another regular poster gets a chance to read your plight. Stick with it.

This is an uncomfortable but valid point that by excluding, does not paint a fair and complete picture.

George Bush.

Thats very good. I can actually hear your Homer Simpson voice. You should add a "doh" occasionally.

There is nothing wrong with Wheatleys speed or skills. He is a great long and accurate kick. He trains beautifully. When he plays and the pressure is on, he plays within himself. He does not go. If he is kicking out from full back he will wait and then kick 20 meters to someone in the back pocket. He may kick long from full back one in every three or four kicks. he has a leap that is rarely seen. I think he should be an elite player. However, he has whatever you would call the OPPOSITE of White line fever. I find him deeply disappointingly as he has been on the list for eight years. If I had to pick someone to play for my life, I would rather have Simon Godfrey in my team. Those that keep pumping up Wheats tyres are IMO believing what he is capable of (a fair bit)and not what he shows. If Dean Bailey makes headway with him, he has won me.

Me too.... and I am not Robinson Crusoe. You are very astute to sort the wheat from the chaff Rhino!

Maybe we can sell this new grandstand i just saw.

Yes its that time of year to put off decisions. Ive heard so far: 1)Lets wait for a practice game. 2) lets wait till we get some of our 22 back 3) Bailey is experimenting 4) Wait till the real thing starts 5) Wait until round 2 when they have played themselves in 6) lets wait until round 15 until we can see what we have got I havent yet heard but I am waiting for: We will be much better for Queens Birthday We will be better after the break Bailey hasnt got a settled Marketing/Membership division Bailey was stuck with such and such assistant coaches Bailey didnt have time to assess the national draft and get a better swap for TJ The real reason we dropped the Demons from our name

Greg Denham on SEN with KB has just said he considers McNamee is "over the line" for the CEO Job

Chris Connolly may very well be our best pick up over summer.

Dyer repeated that story often. He thought it was cruel that RDB was given second placing behind Ted who touted himself without any modesty. Dyer didnt come at Teddy and Lou's immense self appraisals. Barass always had a modicum of modesty about his achievements. Or he tried to anyway. Anyway I saw most of them play, but I was too young to assess Ron. I saw Lethal at his best and I saw Ablett and Carey at their best. I put Leigh Matthews (who as I pieboy at the MCG I saw often) and Gary Ablett as the best I witnessed. I dont know who's on third base because these two were a fair way out in front. It would be out of Williams and Carey I guess. i dont rate the Doulls Walls and ayres who were luxutiating in flanks when they should have been CHB/CHF. I cant split Flower and Daicos as favorites because their play was truely inspiring and they would be in my top ten. Thanks for listening....

Yes. That is good spinning. I didnt read into the article what you did. I think it says bunker down. There is a Low pressure system on the way. But the brightness you refer to may be a silver lining... I guess.

Yes I dont believe Hannabal should be allowed to be a Master demon. Lets Vote! This thread is boring.
-
No. Although I do understand how some can view it as part of master plan.

I am genuinely feeling sorry for Dean Bailey. The season hasnt started yet and he cant win a trick. I wonder if he is giving direction to the leadership group? Im glad that we now have a no-nonsense approach that has unfortunately made Brock a three time loser.

This is as hopeful as I can be... Geelong West Coast StKilda Fremantle Port Adelaide Hawthorn Brisbane Collingwood Adelaide Sydney Carlton Melbourne Essendon North Melbourne Richmond Bulldogs Rodney Eade to be sacked by round 16.
