NON-MFC: Trade Talk
Bailey Smith has formally requested to be traded from the Bulldogs, to the great surprise of nobody at all. I'd be most surprised if he's not playing for Geelong next year.

I'll let it pass, but not your superfluous apostrophe in "lets".- NON-MFC: Finals Week 01

Is it at the SCG or the Giants' home ground (whatever it's called this week)?- NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
As inevitable as the banjo solo in the Swans' theme song is the kneejerk reaction from a number of posters whenever Jordon does anything. Equally predictable are the cries of "Why did we let him go", although it's been explained 1, 529,677 times that we wanted him to stay and offered him a new contract but that he chose to exercise his Free Agency rights and leave. Cracking final, by the way! I was hoping for a GWS win but it was an outstanding match.- Ken Hinkley - Head of Football

I'm pretty sure it was this morning ... unless I've made a grave mistake.- Mac Andrew
I was visiting the local cemetery only this morning when I noticed some undertakers wandering around aimlessly, scratching their heads and generally looking confused. Apparently they'd lost the plot. I'm sure there's a moral there somewhere.- NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
You're fond of anagrams, @WalkingCivilWar. Think of him as Angry Miser or Arm Syringe or Rainy Germs or Army Singer.- Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
You were challenged on your risible assertion that it is a fact that Viney wanted out.- NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
Mannagh is all manner of manna from heaven for Geelong.- Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
You seriously believe that North's interest in Viney means it was a FACT that he was looking to get out? I've got a nice big bridge in Sydney Harbour you may be interested in buying from me.- Your Preferred Premier 2024
* bump* The figures speak for themselves. Over two thirds of respondents nominated GWS and almost 80% are hoping for a NSW victory. The Bulldogs also have some friends. Nobody wants Geelong to win. This is very reassuring and exactly as it should be.- Club in crisis - Media pile on - August 2024
Alf's son Bruce played six senior games for Melbourne in 1971. He mostly played reserves however and was good enough at that level to be a joint winner of the Gardiner Medal, the VFL seconds version of the Brownlow. Bruce then went to Essendon in 1972, but played just the one game for them before moving to the VFA.- How Rumours Evolve On A Footy Forum
In a similar vein, I found these today at my local op shop. They offered to pay me $20 for the lot if I took them off their hands.- How Rumours Evolve On A Footy Forum
In this sequence, X is the unfounded rumour posited by a "journalist" seeking clicks. 1. What if X is happening? That wouldn't be good. 2. Is X happening? Does anybody have any info? 3. I read that X is happening. It's all over Big Footy as well. 4. People are saying that X is happening. The grapevine is buzzing. 5. Are the rumours about X really true? Sounds that way. 6. It appears that X is happening. It's the logical conclusion. 7. X is is definitely happening. Take it to the bank. 8. No smoke without fire. Told you so. 9. The club needs to make a statement. Why aren't we members being kept informed? 10. This crisis is another typical MFC shemozzle. Pert and Roffey must go.- Jake Stringer
Well, there you go. I'd never realised that it was possible to scrape the bottom of the barrel whilst jumping the shark.- Welcome to Demonland: Luker Kentfield

A player can now win three medals on GF day. No disrespect to RDB, but it's overkill for mine.- Welcome to Demonland: Luker Kentfield
