Grundy was named in the squad last week IIRC. Pretty sure he'll be playing at Casey.

Goodwin literally said he was looking for each ruckmen to go forward for ten minutes per quarter.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

The knock on him is what he does with the footy. Averaging 27.3 disposals. -
Worst keeper since Jonny Bairstow.

I always imagined Kynan's name would be pronounced as written ("Ki-nan") but I heard him called "Keenan" somewhere just recently. Can anybody confirm the correct way to say it?
-
Cut him lose, you reckon?

I think Ed Langdon would qualify for Lew's spot.

Apart from the unfortunate Geelong connotation, I've always known "cat" to be a derogatory term when it is used to describe a footballer.

I'd like to get the opinion of @The Lobster Effect on this issue. -
One of the grounds I played on in junior footy was literally a paddock with goal posts at each end. We had to shoo the sheep off the ground before we could start the game, but evidence of their existence was obvious wherever you looked. The coach didn't need to remind us to keep our feet when we played there.

One of the better ones for sure, but I think it's "shake down the thunder from the sky" (excellent line it is, too).

Simon and Garfunkel, surely? From 'The Sounds Of Silence'. edit: Snap @Redleg! -
I prefer "Budget Nadal".

Franklin is fourth on the all-time goalkicking list, behind Lockett, Coventry and Dunstall. -
“Full backing of the CEO and the Board,” As Sir Humphrey Appleby aptly put it, "It is necessary to get behind someone in order to stab them in the back".

Did you receive my attempt, @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew? My PM to you is yet to receive a response, unless you've fallen (again) for the old trap of replying via an ancient conversation that I have long since deleted.

Facepalming autocorrect! Whoever invented that abomination should burn in hello. PS: Answer submitted to you via PM @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew.
-
I would humbly suggest that the death of responses correlates directly with the difficulty of the teaser.

Port Adelaide's Miles Bergman would have been a great pickup but, alas, it appears that he has signed on for an additional two years at Alberton.

Speaking of WCE key forwards, spare a thought for mid-season draftee Ryan Maric who is now the holder of an unenviable record after his first two games have resulted in a combined losing margin of 293 points. The previous record of 288 was set in1991 by Fitzroy player Brenton Klaebe (no, me neither).

The OP was suggesting we replace Spargo with Jordon. I was pointing out that that's not possible as Jordon was already in the 22 and Spargo was sub v Geelong. In other words, that selection move had already been made. FWIW, I'd be very surprised if Spargo was in the 23 this week.
