Who will be the first debutant in 2020?
Bit early to call, but I like what I'm hearing about Rivers.

Aus Bush Fires
The stages of climate change denialism: 1. It's not happening / it's a leftie/greenie conspiracy / the scientists are making it up / it's just normal weather changes. 2. Well yes, it's changing but it's always changed and it's nothing to do with us / what acceleration of change? 3. Maybe it does have something to do with us, but it's too late to do anything now / other countries are worse.

Memorable Kickers
Credited with having invented the banana kick in the 60s, he played for Richmond then Melbourne. Also played Shield cricket for both Victoria and Tasmania. Quite the sportsman, it would appear.

Memorable Kickers
I remember seeing Tilbrook play in the reserves at Kardinia Park one day, when the crowd was very small in the early stages of the game and the stadium was pretty quiet. The smack of his boot hitting ball reverberated around the ground like a rifle shot. Biggest kick I can recall at MFC.

Young Neita will kneed developing. (sorry!)

Air Jurrah
Apropos of not much of all, I saw a bloke in the supermarket this morning wearing an "Air Jurrah" t-shirt. Doubt that there'd be a lot still in existence. Anyone else still have theirs or any poster on here wearing one in Portland today?

Dunkley and Rivers
Surprising then that you don't know that his surname is Leek. You know, like the vegetable not the wee.

Dunkley and Rivers
Chicken (real name Wilfred) played 150 games for Fitzroy and won the Brownlow in 1933. He was a tiny 170cm and 62kg and earned his nickname as a child when his mother could never catch him!

That's also my recollection, DD.

Big Maxy - wicket keeper
Thanks dazzler, never knew Goody had a cricket background. I looked it up and he was co-captain (not a recent concept, then!) of South Australia's Under 19 team, but it would appear that footy took over from that point so I'm not sure how much attention he attracted from the Australian selectors as he never played 1st class cricket. Clearly, he was one of those kids who was just really good at sports of all kinds. Reckon we all went to school with one of those!

Personally, I try to leave no turn unstoned. Happy Birthday to Keith BTW, a young 76 today and doesn't look a day over 90.

Best 18 - one from each team?
Think that might be a noun rather than an adjective, but your point remains. Kudos Biff!

3rd Worst Team of the Decade
Because people mistakenly thought it was the start of a new millennium because it was the year 2000. You're still making the same mistake. I'll dumb it down for you. The first decade is years 1 to 10. The second decade is years 11 to 20. The third decade is years 21 to 30. The first century is years 1 to 100. The second century is years 101 to 200. And so forth. The first millennium is years 1 to 1000. The second millennium is years 1001 to 2000. Etc, etc. There is no year zero. The first year is year one. The hundredth year is year 100. The thousand year is year 1000. If you still have doubt, Google it.
