There’s very little strength shown at the very top of the club as shown by allowing the situation whereby we were the club to play Sydney and Freo within 4 days up in Cairns just 5 days after playing in Alice Springs and being one of only two clubs not to have a bye during several weeks of football frenzy. Eddie would have gone down kicking and screaming rather than allow his club to hit the wall and miss a finals series that way.

Could we retaliate by dropping ANB?

The West Coast v St Kilda game was part of Round 17.

Swans in Cairns for 2 days vs Demons less than 5 hours - why?

Would Eddie McGuire ever, in these circumstances, agreed for Collingwood to be the club that has to play two games within four days in the heat and humidity of Cairns with less time to acclimatize than their opposition? Hell no! Where were our people? -

Not all St Kilda fans are wankers. Here’s a thoughtful piece from Footy Almanac Round 14 – Melbourne vs St Kilda: Confessing getting emotional at the last minute -
If he’s with East Fremantle then he might be comfortable with other recruits from the Sharks, namely Luke Jackson and Trent Rivers. ?

I hope Kozzy’s watching the way Eddie Betts is playing today.
-
He’s averaging around two goals a game but every week he’s more or less at that average and he’s also having a lot of games where he’s out of the action for periods which isn’t conducive to getting the big voting scores.

If he’s in the best 22 and he’s fit, he gets selected.

I reckon we might have shot ourselves in the foot by losing badly last week to the Dogs. We need to atone on Saturday as we could be gone if the Dogs beat the Cats and we lose.
-
I seem to recall a preseason night game over there against the Cats in Hogan’s first season back after he injured his knee as an 18 year old. He might have injured himself that night as well.

If you insist on a fourth option, try Austin Bradtke and then go back to the first option.

The wash up from the trade period is that six players - Harriet Cordner, Bianca Jakobsson, Elise O'Dea, Maddy Guerin, Aliesha Newman, and Katherine Smith - have departed Melbourne and the club now has six picks in the top 30:- 3, 9, 11, 23, 27, and 30. The club must be fairly confident that there is plenty of young talent available from the draft.

One player I wouldn’t mind being linked to is GWS’s Zac Williams for a bit of pace off half-back but he will come at a cost.

GAMEDAY: Rd 11 vs North Melbourne
Elwood 3184 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have attended only one game of AFL football this season and it happens to have been the scratch match against North Melbourne back in February. We creamed them back then and even though it was virtually a seconds game with a few VFL players thrown in, I’m confident that we can beat them again this time. -
North’s pretty “boggie” too!
-
Every week there are close games but we are going to absolutely rue the games lost to Geelong and Brisbane.
-
Breaking News: Melbourne has gone up a spot on the ladder before the start of tonight’s game after the fall in North Melbourne’s percentage after their loss to Geelong.
-
Brisbane 3.16.34. If only they kicked that poorly 2 weeks ago.
-
Who knows but the Dogs were playing off an extra day’s break which is a significant factor.
-
Port weren’t playing the top team on the ladder but rather a middle of the road team. That’s a big difference.

Two weeks in a row, our next opponent has 12.1 kicked against them. North v Adelaide still in progress.
