Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Judging by the size of his father, I have a feeling that thereâs still some room for growth there.

Casey Demons 2022
Pity that because he was a quality VFL player. I suppose the problem is that there is very little room or money for such a player in the VFL, especially once the realization sets in that he isnât going to get drafted. Very few get a second chance.

Youâre not a very trusting soul are you? In one of the posts above, Caligulaâs Cohort has linked the Herald Sun article on yesterdayâs mock draft. If you click on the link you will get to the article which CC cited. A couple of posts below is a post by Chelly which quoted Pick 11 going to St Kilda. Chelly also noted the height and weight particulars that are the same as the figures from the training article and which WJ highlighted in the screen shot in his post (with red border added). He paraphrased from the article that the players at Mondayâs training âalso had their measurements taken for the first time since the pre seasonâ. I will try to access the article later on and provide screen shots attesting to this if you still have any doubts. đ- 2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Surely the Herald Sun experts wouldnât get it wrong, would they?- 2021 Player Reviews: #22 Aaron Vandenberg
He came to Melbourne from Canberra and at one stage was set to go to Sydney because he was supposed to have family there.- Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
Wouldnât Carlton desperately need pick 25 now that Liam Jones is off the table?- Hugh Greenwood jumps ship to North Melbourne

Rachele looks amazing. Iâm not sure as to whether he would fit into Melbourneâs thinking but he might end up at Gold Coast with pick 3 (after the father/sons 5).- In Jason Taylor we trust!
Good get. He was pick 33 in the 2018 draft but didnât get an AFL game until this year.- The Trade in Draft Picks
Because clubs whinged and whined about compromising the draft and the advantage to the Bulldogs in drafting Ugle-Hagen at pick one so the AFL did something about it. Clubs are now prevented from matching bids on NGAâs in the top 20 (next year it goes to 40). Personally, I think thatâs a gross over- reaction.- Who needs a big preseason at the MFC?
Obviously Sam Weideman needs to step up on the past few years so he needs a big season. I think Bailey Laurie after missing most of 2021 and not playing much in 2020 due to Covid-19 has to also have a big pre season, get really fit and bull up to put himself in the frame for selection.- In Jason Taylor we trust!
I read this on another site about JTâs drafting accomplishments - 1st rounders Christian Petracca Angus Brayshaw Clayton Oliver Christian Salem Luke Jackson Kysiaih Pickett Jake Bowey (pick 21) Later picks Trent Rivers (pick 32) Tom Sparrow (pick 27) Jayden Hunt (pick 57) James Harmes (Rookie) Alex Neale-Bullen (pick 40) Charlie Spargo (pick 29) Bayley Fritsch (pick 31) Harrison Petty (pick 37) Talk about nailing them!- Millionaire Ex-Demon
What a sliding doors moment that would have been for Dylan Grimes and the family. Jack was getting established with the club and the Grimes clan were committed Demon fans but that rookie draft selection of Dylan was significant because heâs become a triple premiership player with Richmond while Macdonald was at best serviceable over a much shorter space of time. Another bad choice of player in a sad and regrettable time in the clubâs history.- Saturday Morning on Demonland (6)
- Sam Paea
Will he be one of the players being tested for the draft at Sandringham next Monday?- Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
The article on Woewodin also refers to Josh Cripps and says he âwould love to play in the AFL alongside his brother, Carlton captain Patrickâ.- The Deakin Pereira Thread
Good luck to Deakin. College sport in the USA is a big deal. They attract big crowds and the larger colleges get nationwide exposure on tv. Hope to see him soon on ESPN.- Saturday Morning on Demonland (2)
- Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Already are - both premiership players.- Forum Footy Interest
Good if we could get Neville Jetta's brother and his father to play like we did against Carlton :)- AFL Trade Radio
I donât understand this. Lynch is a damn good ruckman. Possibly the only one who had the better of Max Gawn all year.- Bobby Hill
Blast from the past Colin Wisbey on the Collingwood In Black n White Board when mention was made that the Pies had put in an offer for Hill ⊠âplayer who thus far gets little ball, kicks few goals & tank good for only 50% or so gametime.â- Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
The club put on a function for a small group of supporters a few days before the draft. JT and Todd Viney spoke. It was very clear that in their view it was between McCartin, Petracca and Brayshaw followed by daylight and Jake Lever wasnât in the top ten. I donât think Lever was even mentioned. Most of us left the evening believing we were going to take McCartin. Happy to get views from others who were there. - 2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
