  1. In today’s paper, Petracca’s disposal efficiency for the game was 64% but I’m sure the commentators were attributing about half that to him. Where do they get their stats from?
  2. With 9 changes to their lineup, I somehow doubt it. They might sneak through this week because they’re playing the Swans.
  3. The Sidebottom story ain’t nothing compared to the news about to go down about another one of their stars.
  4. We’re underdone with five players coming in with two of them playing for the first time in over a year. Essendon showed how shaky they were after a 15 day break and for their accuracy kept them in the game. Can we really expect Melbourne to kick straight when our key forward has kicked 1.6 for the season?
  5. They always do against us.
  6. This is outrageous. Of the first six rounds, only one home game - assuming we stay up north for another week, that would make it 1 out of 7. As a bottom six finisher last year, we should be expecting 9 home and 8 away games. If the club doesn’t demand that then it will struggle for members going forward. Weak as ...
  7. Spencer would be the dominant ruckman in the competition.
  8. Has Jones done enough to earn a recall?
  9. Carlton tearing the Cats a new one. Shows how great we were last week.
  10. The problem is that we’re now behind the eight ball as far as our preparation for our next game is concerned. No compensation for that and later in the season we’re going to potentially have a crowded fixture.
  11. Essendon Trifecta Thymosin Beta-4, AOD9064 and Covid McKenna.
  12. Positive: undefeated in 13 weeks!!!
  13. Never. Points should be awarded to MFC.
  14. I think he signed up with an interstate club at the end of last season.
  15. The weather will definitely be a factor on Sunday.
  16. He’s been watching Melbourne’s forward line too much.
  17. 6. Jack Viney 5. Steven May 4. Kysaiah Pickett 3. Oscar McDonald 2. Christian Petracca 1. Ed Langdon
  18. Apparently, the extra interchange isn’t going to happen.
  19. Very unMelbournelike result in the Under 19s.
  20. In other words zero interchanges for the team over the full four quarters. Granted that the pace of the game is different these days but I reckon our blokes these days are pampered.
  21. Perhaps the same mould. Steven’s ailment is mental whereas the other bloke’s just a [censored].
  22. I’ll let you all in on a secret. We went on to win the premiership that year. The interesting thing is that we lost the opening game of the season before finishing on top of the ladder.
  23. The number 2 has been a very stable number. Only four players have worn the number since 1973.
  24. Sorry, but if they can’t play a game like that in front of maybe 300 people, then the first couple of rounds of AFL have to be postponed or cancelled.
