Sam Gray
The only issue there is that we currently have four rookies listed so that, if we took Bennell as a rookie it would have to be at the expense of a senior pick. That is, senior list = 39 + rookie list = 5.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
I wonder if it’s possible to trade our picks 97 and 115 for GWS pick 60 and our agreement not to pick Tom Green at 3? This would enable GWS to do a trade with Adelaide involving a trade of picks 4 and 6 and give us a better third pick down the line for what amounts to no cost.

The name sounds like American porn star.

I was meant to go to Melbourne - David Cloke
I think he finished second behind Peter Moore for the 1984 Brownlow, played in a couple of premiership teams and captained the Tigers. While he often came across as being up himself, it’s hard on his record to say he was overrated.

Agree - only a basket case would agree to the deal suggested by Ralph.

Are we done now?
It’s quite possible we’ll see large numbers of players changing clubs but that might happen through delisted free agent pick ups rather than via trades. We’re seeing clubs placing too high a value on some players up for trade and hence there are often no takers as other clubs take the view that they simply have to wait for players to be delisted before they strike. We will possibly get someone like Sam Murray that way and might also find that JKH and/or Stretch are let go if they can’t be traded.

Jon Ralph says Demons are effectively a basket-case team
Is it too late for our basket-case of a club to make application for a couple of priority picks in next month’s draft based on Mr Ralph’s expert opinions?

The question is does Ben King want to end up at Melbourne and is he really that good?

CHANGES 2019 by The Oracle
Interesting. This means that we have four vacancies at the present time and this will remain at four if we gain Langdon and Tomlinson and lose Frost and Stretch. Three, if we get Elliott. Essentially, we should have 6 or 7 new names on the list after the draft plus a few drafted last year who have yet to make their debuts (Bedford, Jordan and Nietschke). And on top of that, well over a dozen others who missed a lot of games in 2019. Therefore, we can expect a very different Melbourne taking the field in 2020.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Paige Cardona just tweeted - "Why have the AFL given the Suns pick 2 to go with No.1? Why not put money into the clubs soft cap? Invest in development, facilities etc? There's no guarantee these kids won't request a trade in a few years time. Pushing other clubs back in the draft is robbing Peter to pay Paul." She’s a Collingwood supporter in case anyone’s wondering.

Finals Week 3
Except thanks to the corrupted regime that runs the game and picks and chooses who gets priority picks and where they get them, it won’t be a number two draft pick.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
We weren’t gifted that pick. It was the appropriate compensation according to the existing rules.

GAMEDAY (the ultimate): Rd 23 vs North Melbourne
I wouldn’t be too sure of that. I tuned into last night’s game expecting Collingwood to kick a cricket score against Essendon and they struggled to shake them off until after three quarter time. On second thoughts, it was a cricket score being close to what the Poms managed in their first innings.
