Dunn outstanding season? Bollocks!

If worst comes to worst we could always go for Andy Goodwin, former Dee and now Wandin plumber! One tough unit he is/was!

Make no mistake, WC are a very good team. The number of times they streamed out of the centre to hit a fwd target was incredible. Melb. need another Jeff Garlett and a bit more class in the midfield. They also need McDonald to rediscover some form, Dunn to do more and get rid of M Jones and Bail.

Dunn is a stupid footballer. Bail and M Jones are liabilities. That is the story of this game.

Dunn, Watts, Dawes and of course Howe have been the most disappointing. Add to that an injured Tyson, Viney, Kent and Jetta and we've probably done better than expected. McDonald and Garland have been the big improvers and make up two of the top three Bluey placements.

Midfield is atrocious. So many passengers. Hogan, Garland, Brayshaw, Grimes and maybe Cross can hold their head up.

Lack of polish. Too many passengers that quarter: Howe, Toumpas, Bail, Fitz. Cross is a horrible disposer of the ball.

You feed the chooks when you have to. Appropriately his initials are PR because he is the master of it.

There's no quality at the moment in the midfield with Jones and Tyson in poor form, Viney out and Spencer unable to touch the ball. Fix this and some of the others may improve. Shifting the deck chairs unfortunately. A fit Kent and Jetta would also help.

Toumpas doesn't seem to have that unequivocal belief in his ability that AFL footballers need. Will he get there? Maybe but won't be for a couple of years an the club will need to gift him games to get there.

The question how many Melb players would get a game with Hawthorn. There are not too many. McDonald and Garland only.

Would like Yarran, a gun midfielder, a mobile ruckman and a tall forward from the draft with a few tricks.
