Hardly a roast? More self-indulgent tripe.

Pleasantly surprised. If Bernie Vince could tutor him on how to drop the ball onto his boot, we'd have something special.

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - ROUND 1, 2015

Thought that Saad looked like a handy addition to the Suns. Any idea who he was playing on? -
Pleasing thing was how hard we were, especially early. Wanted more and exposed a few Gold Coa$t softies. Also took the game on 95 percent of the time.

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - ROUND 1, 2015

6 McDonald 5 Jones 4 Garlett 3 Garland 2 vandenBerg 1 Watts -
Col Garland looks sensational. McDonald doing well with the odd disposal hiccup!
-
Some good signs. Have to make the most of the opportunities. Van Demon, Jeffy, et al.

Spelt this way more likely to be Belgian. Dutch generally capitalize the V and the D. Belgians go lower case.
-
Not sure about this! If we didn't take him, Richmond would have picked him up with the pick they used on Brad Helbig (who was delisted last year).
-
Hope it is eight, but think it will be six. By the way, did the Fox panel have any analysis worth mentioning?
-
I thouht Garland was, particularly in the first half, one of our best. At least we know he is capable of playing to the standard. Not sure I can say the same about M Jones, Gawn, the Toump, Jordie and a few others.

Take a bow MFC; the recruitment of Frost was a master-stroke.

Gawd, we've gone early here! Don't want to wait until he actually plays a game? -
New thread title: Fifty shades of red!

If it makes us happy it can't be that bad! Something for Demonland to (Sheryl) crow about.

Jeff Garlett Misses Court Appearance
dee-tox replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Crikey, we're judgemental group here on Demonland. If we want the guy playing for our club, I always find a bit of empathy beats hitting said player with a stick and telling them they are naughty! -
I'm very sorry but some posts in this thread are overly optimistic for where we are at the moment. We shouldn't concentrate on potential but rather who are proven AFL footballers. At the moment we are lucky to have seven of those (Jones, Tyson, Lumumba, Garland, Jamar, Gartlett and Vince). That's why we've won so few games. If that changes well and good, but don't fall for the: we've-got-potential-so-everything's-gonna-be-fine mentality. We've been doing that for far too long and it's only leads to prolonged frustration.

Bernie V is disappointed with this assessment!

I for one like Mo64s take on things. This two grabbing thing Dawes does annoy me no end. And if are going to be something resembling an AFL-standard team Spencer and others have to start marking everything in sight. It the old cricket saying, if the balls in the air and you get a hand on it, it's a drop! Guys like Talia from Adelaide have little trouble catching the ball.

Bail. Runs, tackles useful overhead.

Watts out again. Bring on the Toump for the NAB Cup.

I have no problem with yhe subject Carlos but rather Burgan's lack of depth in questioning! The video interviews are incredibly superficial.

Matt Burgan interview: So Brendan how are you finding it?Brendan: Yeah, it's been great. Guys are rooly friendly, made me feel welcome. End of interview. Key takeaway: Nothing!

Think the whole ruck division goes pear shaped if Gawn doesn't stand up. One area that we always had covered under Daniher. White, Jolly and Jamar were pretty decent. King looks at least three years sway.
