And therein lies our issue. Players of Trac and Oliver are presenting as worse than Durham and Ward whilst earning more than the #1 player in the comp. Im afraid to say it but on this point (in retrospect) Kano was right. These long term deals we signed them both up to was just bad business. We were desperate to keep them as marquee players (Olliver moreso following the premiership.) The reality was we should have only signed them up for 4-5 years each. Had the list management team just waited until the end of the year, we would have had a premiership and a much better negotiating position. And we didn't learn our lesson, offering Kozzy a huge contract. Player managers must love dealing with us. I hope Guerra and Smith (with their collective business acumen) step in and set some stern policies with our list management strategy (at least from a financial renumeration perspective).

Likely Full back players hold down a spot even if its a back pocket in their first or second years. What Jed has going for him is that by the sounds of it he wasn't personally doing enough off field and at training to give himself the best shot. So maybe he finds a bit maturity in his approach, which will translate to his onfield performance. Starts with a massive pre-season.

This 100%. I dont understand the infatuation with a guy that barely gets a go in the 1's. Especially after the collective experience on here regarding our track record. i mean it defies logic what people expect. If they are not playing regular games in the 1's then its a pass.

Nothing new. Trac had the exit interview, no trades were mentioned. But they talked about Hawks and a top 10 pick. The storey was positioned around Hawks pursuit of a top midfielder. They had Butters, Merrett, Walsh and Trac. All others were kind of a no despite Butters and Walsh being pre agents. However when it came to Trac Toomey was all I think it’s time to break up this marriage. I don’t care if Trac stays or goes, but why are our players spoken about this way… It’s like there is an unspoken truth they we are mentally abusing our players and the media are doing their best to push the narrative publically be abuse there is a gag order in effect. I don’t understand why.

I think ch 9 will play a rerun of last years Dees segment to save on production costs and McClures skyrocketing salary due to his ‘no-miss’ record in trade news over the last 5 years.
