  1. The worst minor premier in recent memory. This is embarrassing.
  2. How did Crows finish 1st. They have no midfield
  3. Hawks way to kamikaze.
  4. No easy frees tonight doesn’t mean don’t pay anything. Hawks getting away with a lot of throwing.
  5. Pinched this off instagram. "We have the Duke, and now the King"
  6. Agreed I think the thread should be can God save the King
  7. Steven King has been given the job according to Whately.
  8. If Windhager does stay and Saints get TDK ($1.7M, Silvani (close to $1M), Ryan (nothing significant) and they just resigned Millera to $2M. There other 39 players must be playing for absolute peanuts.
  9. I dont think it ever got beyond managers speaking. Trac realised very quickly that none of his choice clubs could meet his salary demands. There were two things i think that limited him movement: Salary demands High Profile club in Melbourne that was in a competitive situation. He was never going to Carlton, Essendon. Hawks were probably not on the cards either, but i think would have come into play if the event had unfolded this year. So really he would have tried to get to Collingwood and realised it just wasnt possible given point 1. If he had cast his net wider i.e Hawk, Saints or interstate, there would have been clubs able to afford him. Then and only then would we have seen a trade request. Was never about what picks the destination club had. i have no doubt he would have done exactly what Merrett is doing and completely burnt the club in the process.
  10. Glad the spotlight is firmly off the Dees for a change. They did try a few digs with Spargs and BIlling retirements not being handled the best, but it didnt obviously take. Has the AFL said anything publically regarding the B.Smith disrespectful behaviour?
  11. Yes, you are right but it doesn’t mean you can’t have one without the other. It says a lot about the club if that is the view you take.
  12. They dont unfortunately. I think D'Amobosio had an anomaly year last year. Has hardly been the same threat this year hasn't he.
  13. Those membership numbers are damning. No doubt there is funny numbers in these stats but to be essentially a bees [censored] in front of North, who have failed for the last decade and behind the Doggies and Saints despite winning a premiership only 4 years ago is a worrying sign. For WC to get over 100K members despite being a failure for the past 5 years is amazing. I have no doubt that the last 2-3 years of poor governance and leadership and constant media scrutiny has done massive damage to our club. Steve Smith and Paul Guerra have a mammoth task not only to make us successful on the field, but also make us somewhat relevant again. No wonder why every media personality doesnt think twice before they come around and take a dump on our club.
  14. I get this way of thinking - but there is a line. I think Goodwin had it right on this topic. He talked a lot about being ruthless and all, but he also maintained a high regard for respect. Respect in your team mates, footy club, opposition, society etc. I don't think you can pick and choose when and where you are respectful and where you are not. That is what i liked about Goody and it resonated with me personally. Talking to contracted players -Harley Reid, Merrett and Allen are just the ones we know about - In my view is wrong. Now maybe in his defence, the players demanded the meeting and Zac's agent is behind this storey playing out in public - similar to Trac last year. We need to put a spotlight on the PA's - i know the personality types of what it takes to be successful as a PA and id hardly be out of line by suggesting that they are not the most morale and ethical lot going around.
  15. Buckley will only coach if he thinks there is a chance of a flag - remember he hasn’t won one yet and that is the driver. I’d say he’d be on a pretty cushy media pay packet so wouldn’t be motivated by that. Tassie are not winning a flag let alone making finals in the first decade no matter how hard the AFL compromise the system.
  16. He said 15,blokes in the footy trip, any idea on who was there and who wasn’t?
  17. What are the chances there will be a story about Trac meeting Mitchell between now and trade week.
  18. Yeah my ears pricked at this as well. I think it was a silly attempt to be funny, but it’s a bit of a Freudian slip as well. No doubt that this is probably what he tells himself from time to time.
  19. Not sure how historical votes compare but the fact that max was more than double of the runner up says a lot about everyone else. Anyway, seasons done and no point on labouring the point anymore. I hope everyone is determined to have a huge 2026. All starts off with a respite then a huge preseason. I’d expect everyone to come back in ripping shape.
  20. Some really surprising results tonight. But Gawny winning was pretty obvious nobody really challenged him. Thought Kozzy and Bowser would have taken 2 and 3. How’s Langford for top 10 in his first year! Kids gonna be something special.
  21. How is Trac 2nd in the Bluey?
  22. Does Goody get an invite?
  23. Id be hoping Kalani is a long term replacement for Steven May in the style of Harris Andrew. Sam Darcy, Jed Walters are a new breed of tall athletic forwards who are going to dominate for the next decade. We need a tall KPD that can provide options. With all the rule changes, i think having strong ruck options is a thing of the past. The game is moving away from contest / stoppage to ball movement and scoring from back half. Obviously, we still need to have some balance but i think it shifts the importance away from a team we had from a few years ago to one that is more athletic and ball movement capable.
  24. Its the AFL way. How many times has our club been shafted in the last decade. It continues to amaze me how we dont go full offensive on here. I would hope that Smith and Guerra are a bit more experienced in dealing with these [censored] bags and know how in time to fire a few back at the AFL.
  25. Again the media machine is at play here. Buckley is doing his due diligence and the reality is he may not like what he finds out. There is a lot on public record but there is some stuff that doesnt get out (although not too much you would think). Edmund has a right to an opinion and tbh, Buckley hasnt been totally committed in the public either (for the above reason).
